I actually explained what I said. The guy needs time. There is no way he should be a #2 thus season. When we drafted him, the organization considered him a 4 year project. He works hard and will improve enough to have team value. Not all players come in as all pros, some need to develop.
I thought Hill was showing promise in preseason with sanchez and early on with Smith, but when Smith went down the drain he dragged everyone with him. Hard to develop as a receiver when you have no QB.
Hill went down the drain before Smith did. Hill has been a no show for a long time. Ever since he took that nasty hit to the head I think it might have been the Steelers game. He has played slow and scared since then.
he had 4 catches against Cinci...but on the season 24 catches on 59 targets -- either that is a bad mark on hill or a bad mark on geno. I don't think he has been targeted with 59 catchable balls.
Its definitely a bit of both but Hill is just never open. He started off the season a lot better but even the way he's used now is just as a decoy. I dont think anyone has faith in him.
This excuse for the QB is just way overused. Take the Bills game for example. http://thejetsblog.com/bga/bga-receivers-hill-streak-blues/
Wheww....Geno Smith is starting...I hope you read that before posting THIS! With Geno behind the helm 28 points is more than we will score the entire rest of the year and more than we have put up in the last 3 games combined. I figure one more game like last week and that will pretty much cook our defense for the season. We are likely looking at blow outs the rest of the way too. Maybe not the Oaktown game but definitely Carolina and Cleveland...we already KNOW what Miami is capable of so there ya go. What I find hilarious is we are going to watch a "street" FA Rookie tear up our team this weekend and we do not have an answer. LOL!!!!! Oh yeah, I've TOTALLY given up on this year. Already looking towards the draft and PRAYING we get a top 10 pick.
The players who are thinking about vacation will be out of the league real quickly. These players are still auditioning for the rest of the league, you still have to go at 100% even if your teams season is over.
From FB: Teams look similar with slight edge to the Jets. Also from FB: Holmes, Kerley together for the first time in 8 games? The last time wide receivers Jeremy Kerley and Santonio Holmes played in a game together, our active roster included fellow receivers Clyde Gates, Ben Obomanu and Ryan Spadola, the Pittsburgh Steelers and New York Giants were winless, and RB-KR Darius Reynaud was playing against us. Yeah, it’s been a while. Week 4 at Tennessee to be exact. Denarious Moore has not been practicing which is good news for Milliner and Cro. When the Raiders can get him the ball, that boy is a problem. Against our secondary problems become conundrums.
Kerley's gonna play. I say he goes over 80 yards with a td in his return. Jets win 24-21 in a close one (Geno goes 12-20 with 200 yards 1td and 1int). Damn so much depression on this board you think your on a god damn texans forums or something
