We haven't done well overall in Buffalo but in we are 6-4 when we play at Buf in their home opener.

    We beat them in '02, 94, 87, 86, 72 and 69 and we lost to them in '99, '81, '75 and '67.

obviously it doesn't mean much but I thought I'd post the info in case anyone is interested.

I think we are pretty even with Buffalo.
You know they are going to run it down our throats like they have done for years.
We should make Losman beat us. In years past, we would not do that.
I assume that this coaching staff will not come with the same game plan week in and week out -- regardless of who we are playing.

Buffalo has played well in their first two games, but if we can hang with them and make it close late, the pressure is on them.

i was there in 02...what an awesome game it was.... I got to see Jordan run pretty much the entire game because of a CuMart injury and Vinny actually played decent. The Chad Morton KO returns for TD's were AMAZING!

Do what we have to on offense. In other words, if we can't run let Chad put points on the board. On defense, make Losman beat us. I like our chances there.

If the Jets can't and/or don't run the ball (ala the Carp), they won't beat Buffalo. The Jets' OL isn't good enough yet to keep the Bills rushers out of Penney's face, and without having to worry about the run, they'll come full tilt. Hurried and harassed QBs frequently get sacked or intercepted. :eek:hmy:

Of course, the temptation of not one, but two, rookie safeties is really, really great -- it obviously was too much for former Bills coach turned Carp OC, Mike Mularkey. If it's too much for your OC,too, it may be a long day for Pennington like it was for Culpepper.

Yeah,it always seems we play them better in the Ralph if it's early season.

I think the key is really going to come down to your defense stopping Willis McGahee.

The way I see the Jets offense running are short screens and three step drops to counter-act the Bills pass rush. This doesn't allow an exceptional amount of down the field plays so you'll be facing a lot of 3rd and 4-7 yards. If you find a running game sometime this week, it'll help a lot.

But if you stop McGahee then, like all of you have been saying, make Losman beat you. He hasn't been put in that position before so nobody really knows how he'll react. I'm excited to find out though.

i wanna hear from a buffalo fan, what do you guys think of ko simpson? he came out too early, but was an absolute beast at USC...his freshman year he had a ton of INTs, numbers were down last year cause noone threw to his half of the field, but he lays hits on people too, has a nose for the ball, and is just a flat out player

so, bills fans, what are your thoughs on simpson?

Simpson has played well in the first two games. Had a sack against Daunte and was a BEAST in training camp...looks like a steal in the draft.

Considering they basically cut Troy Vincent in favor of him, I'd say he's doing all right. Him and Whitner will both make their fair share of mistakes, but in the end, they'll make more positive plays than they will bad ones, IMO. Simpson might be the best pick of the draft for the Bills, like CABills said.
