Playing 8 men in the box is essential this week. Stop McGahee, and you stop the Bills. Losman sure isn't going to beat you by himself.

Don't be surprised to see the Bills play 8 in the box against us too... Force Pennington, without a running game, to throw...

The Bills ranked 27th in total D last year and 31st against the run. The Jets ranked 12th in total D and not much better against the run than the Bills we ranked 29th. We ranked 2nd in pass D. We have a better secondary this year than last and it's substantially better than the Bills secondary. We also have a much better and more experienced QB than the Bills do. The Jets are in a much better position than the Bills to cheat up because we have a better secondary and we have a QB who can recognize when the D is cheating up and make them pay for it. Does Lossman even have the green light to audible?

Oh, the temptation of two rookie safeties!

While the Carp were salivating at the thought of devouring a pair of rookies in the defensive backfield, the Bills DL knocked the stuffing out of their QB.

At least 2 of the Bills' 7 sacks of CPep were coverage sacks, so those rookies weren't too shabby.

"Cheating up" means single coverage on Lee Evans, and the Jets really don't want to do that.

You're right there, you do have the better Qb. He cant run like JP can.....he also couldnt break a pane of glass from ten yards out.

I dont know that I would compare secondaries, McGee-Simpson-Whitner-Clements aint to shabby. But I guess we will see come Sunday in Buffalo.

Last years D was pretty abismal, but I asure you it isnt the same team.

I hope what you say about Evans is true.

Lets face it last year both of our teams stunk it up. A lot of people around here laughed when you hired Levy as GM because of his age. I didn't, I think Levy is one of the smartest guys in the NFL and he is as sharp as a tack. I like the moves we made so far as well. It sure beats the heck out of last year that were even talking smack and having a meaningful game at this point in the season.

My guess is that both of our teams have a ways to go on the rebuild. It's nice to be playing a meaningful game after last year, I'm sure you guys feel the same way.

I'm not in love with Penningtons arm but in this league of JAG QB's I think he brings more to the table than most of the QB's in the NFL right now except for Palmer, Brady, Manning and maybe Ben. I think having him start, if he really can stay healthy gives us a little edge over the Bills right now.

we usualy play like doodie against the Bills hope it is different this week.oh yea to the guy that said our QB couldnt break a pane of glass from ten yards out at least he could hit that pane of glass dead on not like some of those strong armed QBs that couldnt even come close to it. so what is the point of a strong arm if you cant put the ball where you have to? did someone say culpepper, vick look even brett favre throws way to many picks and he has a gun.

Well said. As someone else said I think by this time next season there will be a changing of the guard in the AFC east. Both the Bills and Jets are rebuilding but have done a great job drafting and bringing in coaches.

Pennington is no doubt the better QB, but I dont know that the game will come down to Pennington or Losman for that matter.
