Is Chad on the outs with the organization?

    Did not know that.

Truth be told, Fireman Ed got fired as a Jets fan.

From what I've heard he still goes to games but he is just trying to keep a low profile now.

Vinny was back for the Mon Night miracle reunion a few years ago and Chad was helping mark last offseason. Chad is a smart guy and while he was angry(and rightfully so) w/ the way we moved on from him his legacy in this league was as a Jets QB and he'll be back.

So he's a normal fan now? No more trying to get major publicity? Great.

What if the crowd is a monster this year because they're not sitting around waiting for a guy to get up and lead them in a cheer?

That crowd last weekend was as loud as I've heard them. Not sure having J-E-T-S was such a good thing over the years.

I don't think Fireman Ed has anything to do with loudness. As someone who has been going to games the past 17 years...The Jets chant was loud because of Ed. However, mid game loudness is all fans, and it was. I personally don't think the crowd as been any louder than has been in recent years. I also think it has to do with Rex, Rex's personality rubs off on the fan based as well.

The loudest I have ever heard the stadium was Rex's first year, against the Pats. But that was in Giant Stadium, can't get that loud now.

The J-E-T-S chant was around LONG before Mr. Ed....... I don't understand why it can't get goin' again....

Admittedly getting ahead of myself, but can you imagine if the Jets were to sweep the two games after the bye week to come home for that Dolphin game. That will be one fired up crowd.

He did let it go to his head though. I didn't mind him leading the chant, but you wear a Sanchez jersey, you deserve to be ridiculed.

Personally, I think that every team could use a bit more college-style energy. The drum line is fine, but having pieces of a marching band staged around the stadium would be pretty awesome. The problem with that is that takes seats away from paying customers, so that would never happen.

Yeah I heard he goes to the games, he will take a picture, have a conversation, but hes not looking for attention anymore.

Im sure someone on this forum has seen him at the games to confirm this.

The drumline is 1000% better than Ed. Little by little it seems to be taking off.

There's only 2 teams in the league that have a team name with only 4 letters. Unless Fireman Ed is moving to St. Louis, he's pretty much locked in to the Jets if he wants to lead cheers.

No one misses Fireman Ed. He's not locked in to do anything.

Holy fucking fuck I am sick of people emailing me threads to this forum.

But this is fucking bullshit. Anybody that is yearning for fireman faggot needs a nut check.

The little pussy Fireman Ed milked 9/11 for personal recognition and then milked being razzed by fans into "quitting" being a "super fan".

The guy is a worthless turd. I haven't heard that stadium rocking like that since the 90s. It was an amazing game. And I didn't hear that ego-milking worthless fucking chant once.

Ed tried to control the loudness of that stadium with his ego and it resulted in a decade of people wondering where the crowd went.

Fuck that little bitch and fuck anyone who begs for him to come back.

It's a football game. A PROFESSIONAL FOOTBALL GAME.

You don't need a pep rally to know it is important.

    ___________

Hey Petro, can you please ban my fucking username already? Everybody knows you are the Mussolini of football forums, and also a fucking turd licker.

Kidding, but you get the point.

Thank you for your forum over the years but I can't post here anymore and I am fucking sick of hearing about it.

    *Stupid comment. *

    IP ban me please.

Sure, wearing the starting QB's jersey is pure anarchy... Get real bro. What if he wore a #7 jersey this year and was leading the chant?

He took Miami from 1-15 to 10-6 and they just wanted Chad Henne. Never really appreciated anywhere he went.

Fireman Ed is a fairweather fan, but he is a necessary evil.

It's not the same without him.

Fireman Ed is the worst. The J-E-T-S chant was much, much better when it started up spontaneously in different areas of the stadium. Ed is a product of that "SuperFan" nonsense the NFL pushed on every team.
