We have done well against Cincy the past few years. Of course they are a different team, but it is a very winnable game.
I really don't like this matchup. Dalton is hot right now, Green will win battles against our secondary, and their d will pressure Geno. However I think we'll get at Dalton more than they'll get at Geno, and if Geno breaks his every other good game cycle then we have a shot.
l really like Cro covering AJ Green. Cro excels covering WRs with Green's skill set. Our defense against Andy Dalton is going to be fun to watch. Our offense should only need to score 20 points to guarantee a win in this game. The O-line better show up because that Bengals front 7 is as scary as ours.
I'm looking forward to seeing lots of Ivory this game. It's one of those games where anything can happen. AJ Green will be the biggest challenge. The D needs TOs.
i think we can win! if cro does a good job covering aj green i think we will be ok. On offense geno needs to have a big game. Needs 2 good games in a row and i think he can do it. Leon hall is out so im wondering if Marty's gameplan will be to air it out like vs buffalo because bengals have a pretty good front 7 to be running as much as we did vs pats. lets go jets!! we gonna win!
I would like to see ivory too but i think we will see less of him than vs pats. Bengals have a stout front 7 and leon hall is out. I think geno will air it out like vs buffalo
They have an awesome run stopping defense, the jets cannot just run ivory into that line, it will be 3 and outs all game. The key is to spread them out using 3 and 4 receiver sets, leave a RB to help out with protection of Geno smith and let him pass to soften up the defense.
their defence worries me.they've done pretty well even with all the injuries in the secondary. we'll have a good chance of winning if we can go without any back breaking turn overs. that'll be the case with every game this season. Offensively not as worried, they have a nice set of weapons but Dalton ignores them all and just tries to force feed it to AJ.
AJ is one of the best WR's I have seen in a long time. I would really consider double teaming him. Bernard is very hot or cold, so I fully expect the D to shut him and the law firm down. Cincy's front 7 is excellent, I think this is Geno's toughest test yet. The Bengals losing Leon Hall is huge for the Jets though. Pacman is now a starter at CB...I don't feel confident they'll win, but I feel more that they'll be right in the game.
Brady looked off when he played us TWO times. We have not played Rodgers but we beat Matty Ice on the road! Try to have some faith in the Jets defense!
He looked off? He led them downfield and tied the game, and Rex played for a 54 yard field goal because he was afraid to give him the ball back. Matt Ryan devoured our defense in the second half and took the lead, thanks to Geno and the good play calling we pulled that one out. Our defense is okay, let's not act like they are the steel curtain.
Please note that by opening up the other thread, by no means am I saying the Jets are going to lose. You have to play the game. I just don't have a good feeling based on the individual match-ups.
That's right, so Rex is 3-0. I was at the Bengals game in 2008 where Favre in his Titans jersey, didn't do much, but Thomas Jones led the team to victory. So the last loss was in 2007 with Chad Pennington at QB in Cincy. Chad and the offense played good in that game, but D was bad.
Dalton will turn it over if they take advantage. If they force him to fumble, then they need to recover those fumbles. If they have a chance at the pick, they need to make the play.
