Use common sense and think about it for a second...if he was trying to get the ball in the endzone, why would he throw the ball to the sideline??? Why wouldn't he just launch one down the middle of the field, rather than throw it to the opposite side of the field making it an even longer throw? He threw a ball earlier in the game to Coles that went about 55 yards in the air...yet you're trying to tell me he couldn't throw it 55 yards again if he wanted to?
I thought we were hanging in at 10-0 before that awful sequence that led to their TD to go to 17-0. That pissed me off. We were going to get the ball coming out in the 2nd half, I could have lived with 10-0 since we were just missing so many 3rd and shorts. That's why they play two halves. Oh, and I've been a fan since the 1974 season, I'm 39. Saw Joe play. By the way, on "celeb-cam", why was Joe up in the seats while Adam Sandler and the fat guy from King of Queens were on the field?
when did he throw the ball 55 yards???? I don't think so. The last pass was not even close to the sidelines, if someone caught it the clock would have ran out, obviously you love Chad but his arm on deep throws is totally shot!!!
they had two 90 yard drives in there first two series, Brady wasn't sharp and they were still tearing us apart, we hadn't gotten it past the 50 yard line but I guess we played a good half. If you think we played a good first half you obviously much have been watching another game!!!
You must've been in the bathroom when he threw that bomb to Coles in triple coverage earlier in the game. Or maybe it hurts your arguement so you decided to erase it from your memory. And the last pass wasn't close to the sidelines? Maybe you should take a look at the replay and notice TWO receiver running along the sideline and the ball landed in between the 2 receivers (behind McCareins, in front of Smith).
Are you talking to me? Where did I say we played a good first half? I said we hung in while it was 10-0, which we did. It's one thing to play badly and get blown out, it's another to stay in the game and give yourself a chance to come back, which we did to that point. We came back anyway, had it only been a 10-0 deficit maybe we win.
w/e it doesnt matter now, game's over and we lost, but we almost came back, but almost doesnt mean anything, so again we have lost to the Pats
where do all hail marrys go to one side of the field or the other, that was not a sideline pass if Smith catches that pass he would have been tackled in bounds and the clock runs out. a sideline pass is one when the receiver catches the ball with his feet at the edge of the sidelines. Do you think that Smith gets out of bounds if he catches this pass????
again we really get totally outplayed if it wasn't for the plays by Coles, Cotchery and Rhodes, the jets got totally dominated.
WE have bigger issues such as NO running game rather then arguing about who throws the Hail Mary pass. This will be a long year let's hope the last half of the season Mangini will have them playing better then a 24-0 defecit before we even scored!!!
I agree it is going to be a long year. just a play that I wanted tod discuss. The jets have no running game, can't stop the run, and have no pass rush if you want to talk about bigger issues!!!!!
ya hhaha, if this game was a blow out, the media would have been bashing mangini / chad already, but thank god that didnt happen
and if it wasn't for the play of Brady & the Pats OL & Dl we would have totally dominated them. Oh and if we scored more points than them we would have won..
Considering NE had to run a play to end the game even after THEY intercepted the ball, it is possible that a Jet could have caught it and gotten out of bounds in time.
