    The Bills won't get first.

You need to have only 1 or 2 wins to get first. The Bills already have 2 wins. I doubt we'll win a game as long as Manuel is out, but I think we'll get 1 or 2 more as Manuel isnt out for the whole year.

We should finish with anywhere from 3-5 wins, not good enough for first.

Week 7 edition with another drop off the list in the Steelers and the Bucs finally making the top 5 with Schiano in free fall and now leading the most likely to get fired in mid-season competition.

    1. Jacksonville

I'm going to run out of ways to say the Jags are the worst team in the NFL in a week or two tops but they are.

    2. NY Giants

The bleeding isn't going to stop until the Giants figure out how to give Eli Manning a pocket to throw out of. The defense has real issues also but Eli is on a 40 interception pace.

    3. Tampa Bay

Winless through 5 and the coach is now taking heavy fire. No bye to sort things out as it has already passed. If people start sniping from the locker room he's probably gone. The QB is a rookie and he's likely to lose a few games for them going forward.

    4. St. Louis

Two 1st's including the Redskins is keeping them in this thing but just by a toenail at this point. The Rams chances basically come down to an unfortunate injury for the Redskins.

    5. Minnesota

One win and QB mayhem going on in the Twin Cities. It's going to be frustrating for them chasing the flickering shadow that is the Jaguars season at this point. The Jags are likely to just keep fading and run out the clock.

Here is what I think. Not that anyone cares but here you go :)

    1) Jags - Teddy
    2) Tampa - Clowney
    3) Vikings - Johnny Football
    4) Giants - Who cares.

That's not a bad list either. Johnny Manziel is going to be one of the most controversial early picks ever if he gets taken up high. Small dude and a sophomore.

Add to that his reported attitude of entitlement and he may drop a bit further than expected. He could be this years Geno where he is talked about top ten all the way up to the draft only to drop much further than expected.

interesting - 3 of the above teams are likely NOT in the market for a round 1 QB next draft so it does look like bridgewater will be the only top 10 QB taken - by the jags of course.

who knows about the vikes - i guess they will be ready to move on from ponder.

    This is what I don't get -
You don't think they will win a game as long as Manuel is out???

This may or may not turn out to be true, but regardless it won't have anything to do with Manuel being out. It's not like the kid was lighting the league on fire or anything.. There is little to no drop off between the inconsistent Manuel and say that Lewis kid, or even Flynn, now that you got him.

I'm just saying your team isn't much different at all with Lewis at the helm, yet Bills fan's are crying like they lost Brady. You are crying because you are missing out on time to develop Manuel, not that he himself would make the offense dynamic. He's looked rather pedestrian like any rookie... Hell the offense might be better now!

Why isn't Tampa in the running. At this point I think they might be a clear No 2. And they desperately need a QB.

I think the Giants would take Bridgewater as Eli's successor and sit him for a year and see how Eli responds to his off-2013. Eli is going to be 33 next year. That's late in the career for a QB of his skills. I'd expect him to be gone by 36 at the outside.

I added them at #3 off of last week's loss. Schiano is probably toast and they have a rookie QB and I don't care how good the defense is in that situation. They could go 3-13 pretty easily.

I'm not updating the original post because I want to be able to look back at each entry later on for amusement.

The Giants are going to defeat the Vikings this week, and playing in the NFC East, will likely finish with at least 4 wins. Jacksonville and Tampa Bay might have a hard time getting a W.

i thought of that but they have several other areas that need to be addressed. i cant see them passing on a blue chip LB or RB. they will likely win 4-5 games so they will be around the 6-7 area.

i think they will go OLB.

    (1) at the time I made that comment, the Bills were looking at Jeff Tuel starting or possibly Pat White. Thad Lewis wasn't in the picture.

    (2) Thad played about as well as you could ask for when forced to start a QB off the practice squad, but he was by no means equal to Manuel. He threw 3 good deep balls, but his other throws were awful. The 2nd and 3rd quarters of that game were brutal. His accuracy on the short and intermediate throws was terrible, he missed many wide open receivers. There's no way his play was equal to Manuels.

I wouldn't be surprised if we snuck a win out with Thad. I have to remind myself that we did take the Bengals, a playoff team and probably the best team we've faced so far, to overtime with no EJ Manuel, no CJ Spiller, no Stevie Johnson, a one armed Gilmore, and Byrd's limited snaps in his first game back. I guess a win or two is possible with Thad.

Just let the Rams trade up for your pick again and you will be fine.

That would be interesting. I think once they know they have Bridgewater, they should just trade Eli and free up $13M in cap space in process. My guess is that they can land a first for him from a team like Minnesota or Cleveland (who has multiple ones and may not be in position to land a top QB). At the very least they'll get a package of picks that includes a 2nd. Only way I could see this happening is if Coughlin leaves, though.

Of course, like most, I don't expect the Giants to finish with the top pick.

The Jags more or less have this locked up. The Giants are really not as bad as their record.

At some point the Jets will enter this list, I'm sure we won't win, but we'll contend
