Weren't you the guy guaranteeing he'd be cut June 1, be cut before training camp, be cut before preseason, would never play again for the Jets even in preseason, started a rumor he was getting traded to the Bills and then possibly the Raiders, then that he was going to be put on season ending IR after the Giant game?

Sounds like you're uber-excited just to dump on a current Jet.

I've got nothing against Sanchez. I think he's a nice guy and all. But I'd like to know the absolute moment when he look over the situation and went, "I'm fucked."

Sanchez fans are getting sickening! David Garrad is a much better QB then Sucky ever was and is a lot cheaper. Simms has talent and Geno is much better then Sucky as -is.

I really hope the jets make the playoffs. Would really like to see how Geno performs under the heated lights.

I'm hoping he takes a pay cut and comes back but if he goes somewhere I really hope it's a QB friendly environment.

He was given a shit deal here in NY.

Mark is gone, he and we all know it.

Another question I have is if Geno keeps going like he does now, do we take another QB next draft or get in a vet .... and will we be having another QB battle in TC all over again.

I don't think Sanchez will ever wear a Jet uniform again. It's in his,
and the team's, best interests to move on.

His salary is too high and makes much more sense for the Jets to cut him especially coming off an injury.

Maybe he could come back at a lower contract, but I don't think Idzik really wants him around even if Geno finishes the season terribly and I don't think Mark really wants to come back at that point

There is no way Sanchez is on the team next season...None! He would have been cut this season if it weren't for his guaranteed salary. There is no more guaranteed money in his contract after this season, he will be cut.

Of course he's gone. There's no point in bringing Sanchez back as a backup when you can bring in a number of backups to do the job for a fraction of what he's getting paid.

Sanchez needs a fresh start. There's no way he's on the roster next year unless it's a cut and resign for cheap scenario. I wouldn't be opposed to keeping him around as a backup, but he's definitely not worth the amount he's making. He'll most likely be competing for a spot next year on the Jags or Vikings.

Only thing that could save Sanchez now is if Smith winds up with 40+ turnovers. Doubt it

Even if that's the case, I don't see Sanchez staying. If Geno does that poorly through the year then they probably look to draft another QB next year.
