i like how we are being taken seriously, but it's bothering how everyone is jumping on the bandwagon. it was more fun for me in the offseason when literally everyone shit on the jets but i still believed they'd be competitive

Yeah, team is in a positive place right now, and it's directly attributable to 1)our GM setting a great tone by doing things the right way and 2)our Head Coach's positivity and rabid competitiveness. I'm not sure that the circus has left town - this is New York, our beat writers are slime, and there's still plenty of time for someone to do something stupid - but at least it's no longer running regular shows.

I can understand why the media was killing us this off-season, we were coming off a 6-10 season where our offense looked putrid in every sense of the word. Nice to get some love over the boys in blue now.

Funny how after three wins against crappy teams that easily could have gone the other way everyone is singing the praises of Idzik. Winning against another winless team or a broken Patriots team will not impress me. Sing their praises if we can beat the Saints and Bengals. Until then...
Indeed. Rex is a new man and in my opinion the perfect coach for the Jets. MM and Geno might become a match made in heaven. Idzik so far has impressed me greatly. I think both free agency pick ups, Goodson and Ivory will bear plenty of fruit for us. Next years draft might propel us into a division contender if we hit the jackpot like we did this year. I'm happy with the trend...and the teams new direction. No more asinine moves like Brett Favre, Tebow and Sparano, God forbid.
If these news outlets aren't going to publish anything that involves they themsleves eating crow, then they can just fuck off.
This is what I would like to see. There is still a lot of season left so we could falter but so many "experts" out there picked us to get 3 or 4 wins all season and we're already at 3 wins five games into the season. I don't think anyone here is saying we're Super Bowl contenders, I'm not even convinced we're a playoff team yet although we may be in the hunt which is more than I expected this year to be perfectly honest (for the record I predicted a 7-9 season or .500 at best). Still, it's nice to make the media look like the asshats that they are when it comes to this team. Maybe if we have a reasonably good season they will start pissing all over another franchise instead, which would be a nice change of pace.
