Overall, despite the TD I thought Walls was fine. He had one play on an out pattern (vs. Nate Washington??) where he made a good break on the ball and actually had two hands on it. If not for his feet tangling up with the receivers causing him to go off balance while he was trying to catch it it would have been a real nice pick. He had pretty nice coverage on one catch that went for about 20 yards but it was just a great throw and catch. The penalty he was flagged for should not have been called. He was stride for stride in great position the whole way but for some reason the ref said it was a penalty and it was not a good call. Not only that the ball was thrown out of bounds and uncatchable. Yes, the TD at the half was disappointing. He he was right there on the reciever thought but just didn't make the play.

I think everyone can agree that he did not play the ball well. It appears as though he wasn't sure if he wanted to attack the ball and risk getting out jumped, which he would have been, or to knock it way which failed to do. It was tough spot for guy that hasn't had that many snaps. Hopefully, he watches the NFLN and know next time to grab the arm like Deon said. That said he was in decent position to make a play. That's a lot more than we can say for some of our other CBs.

Someone else might have mentioned this before I have more of a problem with the coaching staff not anticipating that and having a plan ready (i.e., switch Cro over). Hunter not playing a snap all half then is inserted in when they are in the red zone should have raised a flag especially since they threw a jump ball to him just the week before.

Lol he had perfect position on the play, if you want to argue that he didn't play the ball well that's a arguement you can make but to say he was out of position is rediculous. It was a jump ball situation with no help 1 on 1 against a much superior athlete. He should have grabbed an arm but he was in position to do something his inexperience just showed as he didn't know what to do.

What about the rest of the game though, you keep pointing to that one play. If his feet didn't get tangled up he almost got a pick 6 and he had good coverage throughout the night. What about our 11m number 1 corner Cro getting spanked on that TD he gave up, did you bash him as well?

GTFO that catch was beautiful. Few receivers are catching that ball. where did that land in the top 10 highlights?

I'm proud of Walls tonight, he competed and was actually trying to make plays on the ball. He kept his side of the field free of deep throws. Hopefully he continues to develop and works on his catching but he has the instincts to be a starter in this league.

He got his hands on 3 balls and could have picked off all 3. The first one he would have walked into the endzone. However, he did lay a good stick on one WR screen deep in our redzone. Keep improving kid

Great bounceback game from the kid. He had a rough time last week, put it behind him, and moved on. Great stuff to see from a corner. Those hands could use some work though haha

Yeah he needs to work on his hands because he seems to be a ballhawk he just can't catch the ball lol.

Overall not a bad game for the young man. Only issue I have and it may just be in the play calling but what is with the huge cushion given to the wide outs?

On many occasions I saw Cro and Walls lining up behind the first down line or allowing slants with the same big cushion. Press em up and punch em in the mouth!

It's the playcall, sometimes its zone, sometimes its off man coverage or it could be bump n run man.

Incredible closing speed. It's tough to compete with Atlanta's receivers . They are all great route runners especially Douglas and White. Nice job Walls, keep it up.

Looked like a good game from Walls! If he can improve his catching ability, we could be in for a treat like we have with Snacks.

He beasted on NE and Buf too, today he just did it against good receivers. The thing to keep in mind about him getting torched last game is that he was very close to being able to break up every big reception that he gave up, and every corner in the league is susceptible to having that happen, even Revis on occasion. If he keeps honing those finishing instincts he really started to show tonight he could easily become our best corner IMO.
