    i think Mangini will get some SERIOUS instant respect.........we really have nothing to lose ,,,no one gives us a chance (except us JETS fans)

    BUT IF WE WIN.......heads are gonna turn and could set the tone for the rest of the year

    very excited for today

    Honestly, the chances are very slim that the JEts pull this one out...however, many analysts and fans predict that this one is going to be pretty close. Mangini has a VERY VERY VERY SLIGHT edge over Belichick because he knows his tendencies and the entire Pats team very well, but Belichick is still the seasoned cutthroat coach that has made him so good.

    Looking at matchups, it's very hard to predict a Jets win. The Pats run a 3-4 which will undoubtebly confuse the rookie o-line, making it hard to establish a running game. THis will probably result in a bum passing game. Yes, I know that Chad passed for 319 yards with a running game of 2.7 yards per carry. The difference is, the Patriots have cornerbacks that know the game of football.

    I want the Jets to win, but honestly it is gonna be tough.
    PATS DEFENSE> JETS OFFENSE
    JETS DEFENSE = PATS OFFENSE (no WR, but Tom Brady is just awesome).

    Although I agree with most of what you said, to say the O will be confused by the 34 is silly, these guys have seen nothing but the 34 and probably a 34 similarly run to Bellys in camps all summer...if anything seeing the 34 may be welcome - the stunts, various looks, and wrinkes belly puts in will be the difference but to say the O and esp. the Oline will not be familary is wrong IMO

    Bad thing is that if we win today we're gonna have bandwagoneers. Watching the media backtrack on all their preseason prognostications for us is gonna make me sick.

    I think the Jets will beat the Bills and yes the Colts in week four if they win today.:)

    o thats just rediculous. the colts have the best offense in football. there is no way in hell that we beat them unless marvin harrison and peyton manning suffer serious injuries...but even then w/ reggie wayne being their #1 reciever we'd still find a way to lose
