Oh how I hope so. Rex needed an intervention and maybe the shoulder injury can get him back on track.

Pretty lame if true, but it looks like they may be using the new IR rule to hedge their bets on Geno.

Funny thing, if Geno gets hurt, he may never get back on the field.

As much as I'd love to see Sanchez work out, its beyond time for this organization to be cold blooded about guys that just aren't very good.

If that is true, then the Jets are a bigger joke than people give them credit for. Think all you want about Sanchez, but he is clearly better than Matt Simms and Brady Quinn. (IMO, also better than Geno at the moment, but that is not important anymore.) If Geno goes down and Sanchez is healthy, you want him to play. Not Simms or Quinn. What a joke article. Hopefully untrue.

in vacuum yes mark is better than simms /Quinn. in the real world, sanchez still on the team is a sore that won't heal. there is nothing long term to gain from having him around. he is what he is at this point and the sooner we turn the page the faster we can right the ship. for mark the sooner the better too. when he can move on and either find a team that will let him compete or find a niche as a back up he can get this behind him and play out the rest of his career without the constant buzz he is has around him now

Wasn't this brought up yesterday and the Jets said they have no intention of putting him on IR?

Yes both Idzik and Rex denied reports that Dirty would go on IR.

This might be true, but Sanchez has no future with Jets. Hence, why bother winning 1-2 extra games vs what would be with any other starter if you can evaluate the rest of the QBs?

As a side note, I personally don't believe starting Mark would result in extra 1-2 wins, but that's besides the point.

Given his performance over the past two seasons, I can't say that Sanchez is better that any of the players you just listed. It's not 2010 anymore.

Sanchez has shit the bed more in the past two years than a new pet chimpanzee living with a family that doesn't believe in pet diapers.

And guess what? He hurt his throwing shoulder. Again.

Simms would at least lend a wildcard air to the past two years of expected failure.

    So?
Yesterday they had hopes Sanchez would be healed. Today after practice the injury was aggravated and IR is th safer course. This is the same line from every team - injuries are disclosed as late as possible.

Of course, it won't stop mahtas, ciminis, kays and tanks from screaming bloody murder. The Jets are hiding info, the fans want to know, unheard of in the NFL, classless, clueless, etc. whatever, same old song.

Wait - what? You're using Sanchez and Lou Gehrig in the same thought?

I think you have that analogy incorrect. He has Wally Pipp and Geno Smith in the same thought.

    Sanchez doesn't factor into it.

Lol at the source for the story being "A person close to" Sanchez. His agent? A family member? Kate Upton?
