Not that it's your fault, but the title is a little misleading. Sure he was arrested, but it was nothing serious, and it happened last week, not just now. He'll be fine, it's over and done with already, and we aren't releasing him before anybody asks.
It's for unpaid fines supposedly... Not like he was carrying an illegal amount of marijuana and a handgun with hollow points... LOL remember when McKnight said you'd have to kill him to get his job... He's committing suicide.
really? He couldn't pay traffic tickets and get insurance. Jesus. Don't tell me he doesn't have enough money.
Officer, Officer big misunderstanding here. He is not a vagrant tresspassing here, he actually plays for the Jets.
Sometimes you have to learn the hard way... errr every time. McKnight's on his last rope. He needs to start turning heads or it's all over.
this is a top article on bleacherreport people really need to get off the jets dicks, no one cares about this stuff
Jets RB McKnight arrested on pair of warrants for unpaid fines By BRIAN COSTELLO Last Updated: 11:34 PM, August 5, 2013 Posted: 11:24 PM, August 5, 2013 CORTLAND — Jets running back Joe McKnight was arrested in New Jersey last week after police discovered two outstanding warrants when he was stopped for speeding and changing lanes without signaling. The arrest occurred on July 30, when the players had a day off from training camp. McKnight was pulled over shortly after 11 a.m. in Hanover Township, near the Jets training center, after he passed a police officer on the right at a high speed and then changed lanes without signaling in his 2010 Mercedes Benz, according to Capt. Shawn Waldron. Patrolman David Littman checked the license plate and discovered an outstanding warrant for blowing off a $200 fine for failing to produce and insurance card in the town of Summit. He saw a second warrant for nonpayment of a $120 fine from a ticket for failing to observe a traffic signal in Springfield. Jeff Zelevansky The Jets' Joe McKnight, seen here during a workout in 2002, was arrested for unpaid traffic fines. McKnight was handcuffed and brought to the police station where he posted bail, which was the $320 the outstanding warrants were for. He was released with a summons for an unsafe lane change and uninsured motor vehicle. McKnight, 25, is the second Jets running back to get arrested in recent months. Mike Goodson was arrested in May on weapons and drug charges after he was found asleep in a car on Route 80. He has pleaded not guilty to all charges. The Jets drafted McKnight in the fourth round of the 2010 Draft. He has been their primary kickoff returner the last two years. He failed his conditioning test when he reported to training camp, but passed it a day later. McKnight blamed the failed test on dehydration. He suffered a head injury Friday and has not practiced since. A team spokesman declined comment. Gratuitous Linky
At USC he had people who would take care of this kind of thing for him. Jersey is a dispiriting and lonely place for a guy like Joe.
Joe badly needs a change of scenery. I don't think NYC is good fit for him.He can't seem to stay healthy, consistent or out of trouble.
I'm not saying the guy should be cut for this but for a guy who may be on the bubble this is certainly not helping his case. Jackass.
