I admit I am or was very skeptical that Mangini could turn this ship around. Now that he's facing "Little Bill" his mentor a win would be HUGE :breakdance: for Mangini but also for this team's Psyche to possibly make this a good year instead of waiting till 07'. The Pats are hurting and could be ripe for a loss come Sunday. Please post your thoughts on Sunday's game.

a win helps us enormously, as you probably can tell from sunday, this is not a 3-4 win team, were more 6-7. So if your not going to get a top 5 draft pick, try and win with what you have. Build confidence for this year and next. Make some noise, shake some things up and show people that its a different type of organization. remember that if we start 2-0 and 1-0 in our division, we are leaders, im not saying that it will be like that all season, but people will have to chase us and beat us to take the east. winning divisional games really impacts your teams season. a win would be the best thing for this team, it will also make this team and its fan look towards this seaon and not next.

It makes us legimiate contenders to make the playoffs. Chad P's comeback player of the year nomination will take a huge boost if he beats a great team like the pats. The players will probably completely buy into the system and the fact that they can exceed all expectation if they stick to it.

Basically, the skies the limit IF we win, but don't be fooled by New Englands close win over Buffulo. There are still the class of the afc east, especially when doug gabriel and chad jackson get fully integrated in the system. This could be one of the better new england teams in the last few years once its all said and done.

I'm actually thinking we have a legit shot at the playoffs, obviously the next four weeks are huge but then the schedule throws up a lot of very winnable games against teams in far worse shape than ours.

Offensively Schott is a breath of fresh air, you knew things were different after that fade route by Cotchery on 3rd and 1 early on in the game..the last five years we would have run on that play and punted. The running game will pick up with Barlow more in the rotation and Tenn are damn good at stopping the run. The wide recievers looked excellent and Chad looks as good as new.

Defensively Rashad Moore looks like a huge pickup and Barton is back so that unit is already better than last year, Dyson looks excellent and we wont miss Law's 15 yard penalties and if Barrett and Miller can raise their game then we should be able to stay in games and hope the offense comes up big.

The Pats wont be facing the conservative crap from the last five years and loading up the box to stop the run so lets see..this season is going to be fun

CHad Jackson won't make much of an impact this year, few WR can come in and light up the leauge. A win against New England says to all the media that has shit on us all offseason, hey, maybe we don't know shit. Maybe we should get off our knees and stop blowing the Patriots for a minute to look at other teams and see how they have improved. I don't see a playoff team, but if we beat the Pats, those thoughts are going to start to circle in my mind.

A win would make the Jets 2-0...lol!

It would put them alone in 1st place in the AFC East...and it would prove that the system is working.

I thought I'd seen the dumbest question ever created for a thread on Gang Green. Until now.

A win, even if it's ugly, lucky and "unearned," would instill a lot of confidence in our young rookies and make them believers. Suddenly all TC complaints are history. Mangini and Schottenheimer get a huge step closer to being validated by the press as legitimate coaches, not the child wunderlings the press seems so determined to portray them as.

This win won't make us a better team, but the confidence it instills might help us win a few more games than we might otherwise have won. I am thinking more like 10-6 instead of 8-8. It might be enough to get us a wild card.

Having said that, it's still going to have to be an ugly, lucky win, IMO. But I'll take it!

Oh please...playoffs? We just beat the Titans who are shite. NE are a class act that will tell us where we're at win lose or draw. If we win that does not automatically mean we will the Div and are better than the Pats. This is a season and that will dictate how good we are.
The first thing we got to do against NE is stop the run and that is going to be a monumental task with Maroney showing he is Good NFL class and Dillon trying to prove that he is better than Maroney..... shold be an interesting game from all sides of the ball.
