cromartie is really starting to become one of my favorite players. i don't want to sound lame or weird, but it's pretty cool that he's actually become a true man and a leader. before he seemed like an immature guy that didn't have his priorities straight. it really is hard to change your whole mindset and image like he has

Yeah the kid has become a man. IMO he was the best (at worst top 3) cb in league last year. Now he is becoming a leader on top of that!

Cromarties pure size and athleticism make him the ideal model for a cb. It's honestly such a relief to see him mature mentally, and take the time to connect with the younger players.

It must be that fatherly role coming out in him..

Wow, you can't really ask for better news here. We needed someone to step up in the secondary and lead and now hopefully we have it.

I've always been a big fan of Cromartie. Sure, he's not perfect but he's a great corner, and it does indeed seem like he's finally grown up. Good to see.

Cromartie was given a huge opportunity to step out of Revis' shadow and he took it. Good for him.

I know fair weather fans, and non jets fans will yap about how our defense will fall off a cliff without Revis, but they should learn something this year.

When Revis went down, Crom stepped up and then some. Sure he isn't 100% the talent that Revis is, but he's still at least imo a top 5 CB in the league.

On top of that, we drafted Dee who hopefully will and should be a top corner on the come up. I've heard Kyle Wilson is having his best off season, and ready for the next step, and even the corners lower down have potential to be starting caliber players. I really feel like CB will be a top strength for us next season, and in the future.

Doesn't Rex say Kyle Wilson is having his best offseason yet every year?

I know this is sacrilege, but by game 4 we will be happy about what we have, and not having to contend with Revis demands which were unreasonable and detrimental to the betterment of the team. Hopefully we will be watching a more balanced, younger and aggressive team up front with less dependency on the CBs.

Short term the lack of Revis might hurt, long term it will help the team's salary allocation as long as Idzik doesn't mess up

I love how Cro stepped up after Revis went down. True leader. I may buy his jersey

Yeah, apparently every Jet has had their best offseason every year that Rex has been coaching - it's miraculous! In all seriousness though, after last season Cro went from one of my least favorite players to possibly my favorite guy on the roster. At times he was the sole bright spot on a Jets team that looked like it had completely given up on the season. If he can get these young guys to play with that same kind of zeal I don't think anyone will be lamenting the loss of Revis for too long (and this is coming from a guy that was a HUGE Revis fan)...

It would make sense. He should be improving every year.

They should move Kyle Wilson to safety next to Landry. Millner and Cro manning the CB. Im not confident in Bush or Allen to be honest.

Back on topic though, Cromartie is a beast. Dude is a playmaker. Glad he is taking on that mentoring role. I always said, on any other team in the NFL, Cro is a #1 corner no question. We just got spoiled with Revis.
