no i am saying the dolphins have sucked for quite some time. probably about 12 years. if you would like us to wake you up when they ascend then you would currently be asleep and would have been since they were last good.

that would have been 2000, you know since it was such a weak division in 2008 without brady as junc likes to tell us so often.

    so its 13 years.

That systemic failure happens much more often than we'd choose to believe. That's why there are a few really terrible teams in the NFL each year.

Food for thought: over Sanchez last 18 starts the Jets are 6-12 and that includes a game that Greg McElroy won for him by throwing a single TD pass for the Jets only points of the game.

My expectation for the Jets if Sanchez is the starter next year is no more than 5 wins.

No argument, like Penny, and Fielder in The same game.

And, I know youll disagree, but you really cant objectively look at 2012. That Fish was rotting from the head down.

    Tannenbaum.

    Hires Sparano.

    No Skill depth,
    No RT.

Howard did progress as the year went on, but after WFH, going all in with Howard, would have been shaky...even absent the other circumstances.

On the flip side of the Sanchez coin, in 2011 he put up 32 scores. The offense was 2 overall in RZ efficiency.

If you eliminate six turnovers thats a pretty good season. ...

if you remember i already explained to you why i did the sanchez countdown. you are just too stupid to realize, even though i explained it to you, why i did it. so i continued and may continue until the day he is cut.

i understand football pretty well, however i, just like you am an average fan with an opinion, thats all it is, my very own average opinion. just like you have yours so keep it down with the average fan bullshit. i will never claim to be more than that.

The 26'turnovers are mostly on Sanchez.

That said, in other areas..he played well.

The fumbles should have been no more than 3, and the picks, should have been under 14.

But 32 scores, and 2nd in rz efficiency is a good thing.....

Thats why I think reshaping his task, shoukd be successful.

I just want the best quarterback to start. Jumping to conclusions is stupid and a waste of time. This thread is quickly turning into every other fucking thread on this board. How about waiting until everything plays out?

OMG Johnnysd u have his rhetoric down cold. That sounds exactly like him talking. With that being said I want Geno on the bench for a little while learning anyway so that his head/confidence don't get screwed up. I'm a fan of sitting these young qb's for a little bit to let them learn before being thrown to the wolves.

I put a lot of hope in just the fact that there may be real competition at the quarterback position. Tim Tebow wasn't real competition. Kellen Clemens wasn't real competition. If Mark Sanchez is working hard to save his position, and if he does actually win the starting position, then that's a good thing. Which is to say: I don't want Geno Smith to be given deference merely because he's something new and different any more than I want Mark Sanchez to get deference because he's been the starter. I'm not a Mark Sanchez fan and I'm not a Geno Smith fan - I'm a Jets fan. So my first choice is the guy who will give me the fewest migraines over the course of a 16-game season.

I think given our situation the luxury of sitting a rookie is null and void, all that matters is who is the better player between Sanchez and ES3. Whoever that is, start them focus as best as you can on their strengths.

I think Mohrnhinweg is the answer here....the best of all outcomes, is for Sanchez to emerge as they guy they drafted, and Smith to progress steadily.

Thats whats mind boggling about the hate..for a Jets fan thats the best outcome....

That makes no sense. What is the rush with Smith? I want a QB for the next 10 years, not for the first 8 games of 2013. If the Jets start out 2-6 and Sanchez is terrible, I am willing to wait until Smith is ready.

Much of the ProGeno camp, fears that Sanchez might actually play well. Go figure.

Wow, that is how it is going to go down. I was hoping for a change at QB, but now I hope this scenario does come true. If this is how it goes then BOTH SANCHEZ AND REX will be gone next year. I can wait another year. Saves me money of buying tickets to see them in Nashville and Charlotte this year.

    Time for a complete change.

It is amazing how you can predict the future. Time for a change? Based on what? What some guy on this thread posted may happen four months from now.How about we let it play out?
