1 sack, 4 tackles....does anyone think this could be a break out year for BT? In my opinion we did not get nearly enoug pressure on the QB, altho we had some nice penetration/knockdowns of passes. I think Bt needs to step up and become a force. Thoughts?

Bryan Thomas did look good... I think we didn't get enough penetration because we only sent three men way too often. I want to see Rashad Moore get more playing time, he was very disruptive and got penetration often.

I think Thomas could be a force pretty soon.He looked really good in pre-season and he looked pretty good in the first game.I would like to blitz him more often.I this with his combo of speed and strength he will be very hard to block.

I know this isnt a fair comparison, but maybe he could be a Derrick Thomas type guy and come off that egde pretty hard

I think our defensive strategy worked perfectly. We made Kerry Collins with 2 weeks on the team try to beat us. I have a feeling that we will use more pressure on QBs that should actually be starting in the NFL.

he's looking good, looked better in Pass Pro than I thought he would. im pretty sure he was just a 4-3 DE in college but hes picking up LB pretty quick it seems.

he'll be solid this yr, but just think about when he feels 100 percent comfortable.

hobson is still serviceable, but if thomas steps up and take his game a level higher were looking at a scary set of LB's

I actually think coming out of college he had been a linebacker at UAB.

    http://www.nfl.com/draft/2002/profiles/thomas_bryan.htm

i looked at his draft bio and i know for a fact he played DE his senior/junior yr. and for his Soph season it said, played in 10 games started 8 at RDE.

only LB mention I see is where they list his projected position. hes definitely built like a tweener, but I wasnt sure if he was strictly a DE in college.

and it looks like he was, so my original point is hes picking up LB pretty quickly and once he gets comfortable he should be a beast.

I think this could be the year we all have been waiting for for Bryan Thomas. I think his new position allows him to get the most out fo his attributes.
