Looks like JaMarcus Russell dropped a few LBs

in reality it was going to be a 2 man competition btw either mark and geno or Garrard and geno. Simms/McElroy have no shot to even compete for the job.

 

Wow that's a shame for him to go out like that. Better it be on his terms I guess than being cut.

True, I don't even Know why Simms is there he sucked at UT. Maybe the Phil is paying his salary without him knowing.

Well this is a damper, I thought he could atleast be a decent competition but I guess if his knee doesn't hold up, can't do much about it.

So it comes down to Sanchez and Geno for the competition now. Should be interesting, but not quite as much as I was hoping for in the pre-season.

 

Never expected much from this signing to be honest. If he gave us something, great. Not at all surprised this is the final outcome. Just thought it would come later.

 

I wonder if we kick the tires on some other veteran or are fine with what we have. I wouldn't mind having a veteran around for Geno and even Sanchez to learn from.

 

Can they really have Smith backup Sanchez? How awkward is that going to be and what is Sanchez going to teach Smith? How to suck? I think Smith better win the starting job or this will be weird.

 

Well look at it this way if Sanchez starts we got a top 5 pick locked up for 2014 draft.

 

I think Geno is going to be our starter

 

So, if they dump Mark, Geno Smith is the starter with McElroy as b/u QB? If Mark stays, is Mark the starter with Smith and McElroy as back-ups? Sheesh...

 

I am crying a little with the thought that Skankchez is back in this thing. Was really hoping they would cut his arse.

 

I'd prefer a Smith, McElroy, Simms tandem over anything involving Sanchez.

 

Imagine if we hadn't drafted Geno.

The vast majority of our fanbase would be up in arms right now... not that Garrard would have been that great, but at least he provided a legit competition for Sanchez.

 

Time to call up Vinny.
