Well, there is talk back home of a few more guys thinking of trying out. Im not totally sure how serious but it definately is a possibility. I can understand why some diehard NFL fans can shrug off the punter but Benny is unique and a novelty. Its amazing, the commentators still make the comment "Ben Graham to punt, he is Australian and played Australian Rules Football before coming over to punt in the NFL"...I think i heard this 74 times last year and 4 times today but its all good I seriously watch the 4th downs as intently as i watch the first 3.
You are a dillweed. We have a lot of Aussies here who DO want a detailed report in Graham's advetures. Just becuase it doesn't interest you does not mean it doesn't interest others..... but you are an arrogant asshole. When you said you were goning to put me on your igore list, I got no fewer than 3 PM's telling me I was better off! STFU. My Ben Graham report will be in it's usual place, posted on Monday night. In general, Ben was very good, with the exception of his second punt. The Jets played pretty well.... which means his chances were limited. I know there are rules here.... but this arrogant asshole makes me push them. I don't mind running the risk of being suspeneded. An ass hole is.... an asshole.
haha, lucky the punter doesnt have to do too much, well none really, running and seeing as the training demands are less for a punter compared to aussie rules, sav could blow up and be better off playing in the O or D line  and what an area to go and play in, buffalo...how do you say FKN COLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL
The facts are that we aussies know next to nothing about the NFL. But I must say I pick up a little here and there. We are also keen to know how Ben goes(good or bad). I love reading your reports. We have two choices here. 1, Hardly nothing, due to Punting not being high profile. 2, Your reports. Now that's a no brainer to me.
Yeah! I could sort of understand it, if the Jets had lost again! But they won! This Forum should be a fun place to be right at this moment.
He's right up there. The Raiders punter is quite good and so is Hentrich for Tennessee, but he's right up there.
Funny is that things like this usually happen to other teams and NEVER to the JETS! Graham is more valuable than we think. Special teams gives us field position. Field position gives you better opportunities to win games. Graham IS the real deal and Love having him on our team.
That's the third time in this thread that you have simultaneously criticized someone else's analysis of punting while reducing it's importance as boring and insignificant.
Don't under estimate Ben's role as a captain either. He will be taking this role very seriously. If Mike Nugent is a humble kid and listens to Ben, his confidence will be back in no time at all. This's how Ben will see himself as captain. He needs to do his job and at the same time help others do theirs. Nudge will get from Ben a whole bunch of encouragement. I can't wait for this kid to get going!
That's a good question! That was also reported that they had the best punter in the NFL. They still wanted to check him out.
