What do you call that STRANGE formation we saw today...

    The one when the Quarterback stands five yards behind the center, and the ball is snapped through the air to hin?

    We saw that one least season.....

    what about the full house backfield? I like it.....and the one with Cotchery lined up in the Weak I.....thats what young coaches bring to the table, different ways of thinking....

    No no no! The Quarterback didn't punt. He got the ball and then threw it.

    but rifle would mean it could only go one way. what if the qb wants to scatter it to different receivers?

    Don't be silly! A quarterback can only throw to the runningback or the WR on the sideline right after the snap!

    No way man. It will continue to fester. But we will continue to smile and laugh as we watch KC implode this season.

    In fact, just watching the KC highlights today made me think of the disgraceful way he left this team. They can keep him.

    After some careful research, I've learned that this formation is apparently called the "shotgun," and (remarkably enough) can be used in a variety of ways:
