Being a graphic designer and a sports logo junkie since birth, I'd have to say the new one is drastically better executed. With that said, using that angle of perspective, the smooth and soft shape of a jaguar's head isn't visually 'threatening' enough - no kid would be afraid to pet either of those two on their heads. I'd try and have it be front faced or the full body in order to correctly translate the fierce nature a jaguar has. Also not a big fan of how the whiskers on the right side just disappear into the cheek... but at least now they've moved away from the black jaguar spots which I always saw at as cheetos... This is the look I'd personally strive for:
I wonder how cheap Jets-Jags preseason tickets will go for? Haha. 2 bad teams, 2nd preseason game, I am guessing 50 yard line, lower level, $10 a piece. Haha.
