    I don't recall him playing any significant football. Although, there could be something to be said for backing up Brees for 3 years.

    Sadly, I don't think we'll get him. I really wanted Foles here too. Worked with MM, has the physical attributes you need in a QB as well.

    the shotgunning method of finding a qb.i like it. there is no 1 guy thats a must have so bring in everyone.

    I fully expect McElroy and Garrard to beat out Suckchez. Little Sucky will be the clipboard holder. Perhaps it will come down to him vs Daniel for clipboard holder. i can not see the Jets paying a 3rd string QB 8.2 million to either stink up the stadium or hold the clipboard. When there is the will there is a way to get rid of ol' Sucky!

    Daniel played in the spread in college and almost every snap was out of the shotgun. It's a similar type of offense to the West Coast offense, in that it's primarily designed around short timing patterns to the receivers, but I wonder if the under the center vs. shotgun issue is too much to overcome.

    Chase Daniel is 7/9 for 55 yards and 0TD and 0 INT on his NFL career. I guess signing him would be kind of like drafting a rookie except the rookie sat behind Drew Brees for 3 years.
