Yeah that would be an interesting thread if one along these lines hasn't already been started. I'm sure it would give insight into what his thinking and strategy will be for the Jets HOWEVER at the same time every situation is completely different. Idzik may have never had to work with the cap restraints and other issues in Seattle that he now has to deal with in NY. That's why I said we need to wait 12-18 months until giving Idzik a fair grade.
Wow, good move by the Seahawks. Now you have to compete with Harvin, Lynch and Wilson on offense? It's not like their defense lacks either.
It works out for this year. Now you have to wonder are they willing to give Hardin Calvin Johnson money, because that's what he wants. I think it's far too much for him.
If that's the case it's not too far out of line, but that is not what had been reported over the last several months.
What this does is makes the possible trade for Revis more realistic for a already pissed off fanbase. The rationale will be this: If the Ravens can trade Boldin to the team they just beat in the SB, and the Vikings can trade their most dangerous Wr for Dp's, then the Jets, being in the position they're in, can certainly trade Revis.
i dont see this as a great move. this kid has been injured consistently since college and has done nothing to prove that he can be healthy for any period of time. they will also end up losing him after 1 season... which when you think about them giving up a number 1 is a pretty hefty choice to make. its obvious they are going all out to win it now, the problem is i really dont see him being healthy throughout the year. whether its the headaches, the bones missing in his foot or whatever other injuries he has had he is a talented kid who makes great plays... but he only does that 8 weeks a year.
