OASN, I'd like to thank the OP for actually creating the title of the thread in a truthful and direct manner!! DJF didn't realize this but this has been discussed and will soon be the formatting for certain threads going forward... Now, gimme those lottery #'s!
I don't mind bringing in QBs like Quinn or Cassell. At this point Sanchez and them are on all the same level getting a fresh start with something to prove. There is a new OC and they should be all judged based on their play in the system. Most likely we are stuck with a below average QB, but that's fine. We just need a below average QB who won't turn the ball over like crazy and can make a throw here and there. Cassell/Quinn even if they can't beat Sanchez can be serviceable backups if Sanchez doesn't imrpvoe and implodes on himself again
There are rich teams, and there are poor teams. Then there's 50 feet of crap. And then there's us.. Don't bet on it... this ain't money ball with a pool of 20,000 possibilites.. Anyone with potential has been picked apart.
the posters on TGG are the biggest clueless drama queens. I by no means think sanchy is good, but i'm pretty sure he'd beat out all the POS's in the market, including Flynn & Moore, both who don't deserve starter $ as backup qb's. Let sanchy compete. if he wins, he starts. if he improves dramatically, think about keeping him around and draft a QB in 2014 regardless.
Why not draft a Qb in the 2nd round?? Who would you take?? 1. Geno Smith 2. Mike Glennon 3. Matt Barkley 4. Tyler Wilson 5. E.J. Manuel 6. Landry Jones 7. Collin Klein
cause there are better options besides going for a qb in the second round? edit: i just realized that you might be saying the same thing that i am haha so, in that case i agree, i wouldnt spend a 2nd on any of those guys.
ProFootballCentral @PFCentral Jets Work Out David Garrard: Free agent QB David Garrard was in town working out for the New York Jets.
Funny. I remember when he was in his senior year at ND and someone on the Jets usenet forum broke the news that the Jets would tank their season in order to have a shot at drafting him. Let's not care until something happens.
Does Brady Quinn have an entourage that follow him around to every team he goes too? If not then I'm fine with it.
Garrard might be a decent back up QB. Excellent person, experienced, smart, has been successful in the NFL. Glad to see him getting a workout.
Just what we need... 2 USC losers on the team. Actually you have to think Cassell could probably provide some useful information about the bastards up north.
I'd rather have Garrard over Sanchez. Moore would clearly be the best option if we could actually get him.
