What are your thoughts on Felix Jones if he came cheap. He's only 25 and I think he could help provide a nice ground came coupled with Powell.

Personally I wouldn't mind as long as we draft someone else.

Powell, Jones, Draft pick is fine by me. Keep McKnight at KR

He would be my second choice behind Reggie Bush

Don't we already have one of those?

Completely agree. Not to mention McKnight will be a FA next year, so drafting someone is a must.

I think Miami is going to resign Reggie

It really doesn't much matter who they bring in if they don't improve the O line. If they think this line is the answer and they ignore it again then its time to scrap the entire coaching staff and scouting dept.

All of this is assuming we draft OL

I don't think we need two #2 RBs. I'd rather just take someone in the draft and see if he or Powell can develop into a starter.

That would be awesome. Bush is a big step in the right direction for our offense.

The line was very good last year. The Problem in 2013 is we are losing 2 good guards. Moore was graded by PFF as the 4th best guard in the league last year and ranked as the number one FA available and Slauson was slightly above average.

That is tough to replace. Losing Moore may very well end up like what happened when we lost Woody. In 2011 losing Woody was a huge loss. Last year the huge loss we could not replace was Tomlinson as we had no back capable of catching Sanchez's inaccurate passes. Moore unless we draft Warmick appears to be a guy we will not be able to easily replace.

^Our line was mediocre when looked at as a whole. Moore the 4th best guard in the league? PFF doesn't accurately compile their stats, if you ask me. I don't think their criteria is enough to claim something like that. There are simply too many situations, and too many players on the field to make a successful play. I don't agree with their cherry picking of certain stats while ignoring the big ones like sacks.

Can Felix Jones catch passes out of the backfield? If not, then no thanks.

We might be going that way in the first round.

I'm cool with any one of these guys, F.Jones, R.Bush, Bradshaw, Mcfadden.

In the WCO you have to have a RB like the aforementioned.

Would love to bring him in. He'd be a good fit in the WCO imo.

Any of Bradshaw, F Jones or Mendenhall would be cool.

...just curious if anyone knows Leon Washington's status in Seattle. He's gotta become a FA sooner or later and I wouldn't mind bringing him back....

I thought the line was serviceable not very good. D'Brick isn't living up to his contract and will never be the player they thought they drafted. He's good but not elite. Slauson is average at best. He's a place holder for a team missing a few parts. The trouble is the Jets are missing too many parts and combined with declining play of D'Brick they weren't opening huge holes for the backs. Mangold is a very good player but I don't think he had such a great year, he was manhandled one on one by some of the top defensive players. That shouldn't happen, against great players if you can have a stalemate or make a few mistakes and stalemate that's a good showing. I don't think he did that last year against elite D lineman. Moore was good but he's showing his age and seemed to lack quickness. Howard was certainly an upgrade but he got beat badly more times than I care to remember. I don't know how to gauge Howard, with a solid off season, mini camp, training camp etc. the coaches could improve him to the point where he becomes an asset on the line but that's projecting what could be not what was last year.

I think he's the same type back as McKnight could be.
I keep saying this and nobody seems to pick up on it,Chris Rainey was cut by the Steelers and the kids young and fast and CHEAP.
Big upside, yes he has problems, but this kid could be a steal.

The Cowboys hoped for that as well and it didn't work. Some RBs are always nicked up and Jones is a perfect example of that. Tons of talent but can't stay on the field. He's a lot like S. Greene- twists his ankle, strains a hammy, etc- and he's a slow healer. You keep waiting for him to come back. AND he's lost speed over the years due to cumulative injuries. His first season, with limited playing time, was amazing and everyone in Dallas thought he'd be a number one for ten years. Never happened and never will imho. I know he's still young but I just think he should be considered slightly better than a minimum salary guy, someone who'll give you less than 10 touches a game if you want him to stay healthy. Personally I'd take Woodhead over him. He's much tougher and plays through minor injuries that would have Felix on the sidelines for a month.
