Look for Bridgewater.Manziel and Clowney will go 1 and 2. 3 is where we will hopefully end up since I don't see us being in the top 2.
We can realisticly aim at 8-10 wins... it all depends on how much we improve the roster (and the O) this off-season.
This is a very hard schedule IMO. I think we're in for another rough season. Maybe not 2-14 bad, but I could see 6-10 again pretty easy.
HOME: Dolphins W Bills W Patriots L Raiders (Yes, we finally don't have to go to Oakland)W Saints L Steelers L Buccaneers W Browns W AWAY: Dolphins L Bills W Patriots L Panthers W Falcons L Ravens L Bengals L Titans W 8-8 NO BETTER
I prefer having a tough schedule. If we DO make the playoffs, our team will certainly be battle tested. Unlike the Falcons who were the top NFC seed but were also the laughing stock that every announcer picked against. I'd rather go 9-7 with a tough schedule and get a WC than go 14-2 with a cake schedule and get blown out in the first round.
Continuing my reasoning for a tough schedule: You don't have to wait till the playoffs to face the best the NFL has to offer. You've prepared for and battled the best all season long. So what if you finish 9-7 and have to play one extra game. You're battle tested and ready. Having a cake walk schedule means you never really know how good your team is, plus you pick up a lot of extra wins you really don't even need which only hurts your team come draft day.
Based on 2012 records? Arguably the only opponents that will regress into next year are the Raiders, Browns, and maybe the Titans. Prediction: 4-12.
No west coast games? I guess I will not be seeing the Jets for a few years. looks like a 5 -11 season... if they are lucky.
I guess I must be missing the point. I'm shocked that so many people think this will be a tough schedule. Of course it's way too early to predict, but my initial reaction is that this is very reasonable. Aside from the usual suspects ... Raiders, Saints, Steelers, Browns, Bucs at home ... Zero 2012 playoff teams. Who is supposed to be unbeatable? Panthers, Falcons, Ravens, Bengals, Titans on the road ... only two teams that have a rep for being very tough at home. It isn't the schedule that scares me ... its the prospect of playing these teams with Sanchez at QB that's terrifying. If that turns out to be the case, we're going 4-12 next year no matter who we play.
no doubt its a top ten pick next year as well. not sure about worse than that - there has to be an inflection in here as the jets get enough younger guys that can play. there are some good young guys on our defense and thats the one unit that usually turns a franchise around or into a legitimate threat. with the depth in the upcoming draft we should be able to secure 2 new starters on D come april. and of course address the offense - starting with the OL.
The AFC North isnt looking as scary as we all once thought. The Steelers are rebuilding now clearly, the Ravens are losing key players, the Bengals might be decent but Rex does seem to own that team, and the Browns are still in rebuilding. I like that we get the Saints and Steelers here at home, the Falcons game might be a rough one just because its in Atlanta. I kinda like this schedule TBH, a lot of these teams seem to have question marks.
I see 8-8 easily. Sweep the Bills, split Miami and Pats, beat the bucs, browns, raiders, titans and panthers we can be 8-8 or even 9-7 which would not be bad for rebuild year, hell maybe a wildcard spot. This is all in my humble opinion of course. We still don't know who's going to be on our team or who the QB is gonna be yet so.....hey!
