Look i'm tired of people bitching about Coles like this. All he said was that the practices were very tough. Everyone blows this completely out of proportion. I'm sure there is a huge difference in Herms Practices and Mangini's practices. If I say that my teachers tests are hard does that mean I hate him/her and I don't want to take that class, NOT AT ALL! STOP LOOKING FOR SOMETHING TO COMPLAIN ABOUT, AND DON'T LISTEN TO THE MEDIA.
Has anyone even seen the live interview? It was on the official website during tc a couple of weeks ago when they interviewed a bunch of players. None of them said anything and Coles said what he said and not in the way the reporters are making it out to be. Stop being ridiculous because you're making the media validate their point about Mangini not giving up info.
Seriously the media has to strum up trouble because the coaching staff isn't giving them any Herm-bites.
I had to laugh at the "this guy" mention. That is something that is VERY subject to interpretation when taken out of context as this was. Think about that.... a new boss.... and you say "This guy is OK." Or..... "This guy is an asswipe." If these asshole reporters would just be honest..... where was the context? Oh no..... they just said Coles called Mangini "this guy" without setting it up. These scum bags have it in for the new regime. It's their way of retaliating for a lack of info. I'd happilly go to jail for the chance to lay one of these jerks out. I'm retired. I can afford to miss work. I'd love to grab Cimini by the ear and parade him around on the field. I'll twist his ear till he whines, and then pee in it.
What's sad is people like jonnyd and, sec just read those quotes and just gobblie it in its entirety without any doubt that the media is doing that they do best " manipulate". This guy is a team player and has always been.
Let me start by saying that I'm not around here that much and usually don't reread threads that I've already gone through. In most cases, threads go off on weird tangents and are lost to the original topic. I just lucked into seeing your post. If you want to direct something at me and expect an answer, it might be a good idea to PM me a link or something. Anyway, to your comments on Coles. It has nothing to do with his 'anger', 'bitching' or being a 'malcontent'. I disagree with most of that, but that's not the point. In your original post you said on 'quiet days Coles thinks about molestation, money etc....' Then the next sentence you said 'if he has to work, he can't think about the things he likes.' You insinuate that he likes molestation. Assuming that was your intent, you're an ass and my mind won't change on that. If you just misspoke and didn't mean it that way, correct yourself and let it go. Here's your chance to take it back regardless of your original intent.
Why would they want to clear this up? Why not let the rest of the division and the league think the team is fraught with inner turmoil? If I were Mangini, I would tell Coles to close his mouth and let the idiot beat writers run with it. And then surprise the shit out of the league once the season starts. Of course, that is a theory.
Considering Coles hasn't even mentioned the articles at any time I would assume that Mangini did just this. Why not? Let the rest of the league think we have a bunch of pissy whiny bitches in the clubhouse, and then we can come show them what we have in person. Good theory. Unfortunately, you could never be a member of the media. You are overqualified.
