Jets | Cotchery to start ahead of McCareins Thu, 7 Sep 2006 22:25:17 -0700 Colin Stephenson, of the Star-Ledger, reports New York Jets WR Jerricho Cotchery was listed ahead of WR Justin McCareins on the team's unofficial depth chart released Thursday, Sept. 7.
Hardly 'news' since we all read the depth chart yesterday or wednesday, whenever it came out. Good reporting Colin Stephenson, really earned your wages there.
Not to mention that it is an unofficial depth chart and Mangini has already stated it may/may not work out the way it is listed; it will all depend on the gameplan and matchups....
That depth chart was just listed in alphabetical order, right? I highly doubt Cotchery gets the start. Not saying I would'nt mind to see what he could do at that role, but we'll see.
I'm looking for big things "Kick in the" Cotchery this year. Glad to see he has the start. IIMeanDeanII, the depth chart is not listed in alphabetical oprder anymore. Cotch is the #2 receiver this year.
Yeah, if the Jet's QB situation settles down I expect 70 catches and 1,000 yards out of Cotch. Not sure he's going to progress much past that but that's more than enough to be a great #2 receiver.
I'm glad. Cotch has seem to have been working his ass off, and from what I hear McCareins is just showing up. I think Mangini is confident in Cotchery and that he can do a good job.
