http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/football/welker-wife-rips-lewis-2000-murder-case-article-1.1244302 Wes Welker's wife probably won't be cheering for Ray Lewis during Super Bowl XLVII. Gisele Bundchen is apparently letting another New England Patriots wife take care of the post-loss rants this season. Anna Burns Welker, spouse of Patriots wide receiver Wes Welker, lashed out against Baltimore linebacker Ray Lewis on Facebook following New England's 28-13 loss to the Ravens in the AFC Championship game, the TheBigLead.com reported. "Proud of my husband and the Pats," Burns Welker wrote. "By the way, if anyone is bored, please go to Ray Lewis' Wikipedia page. 6 kids, 4 wives. Acquitted for murder. Paid a family off. Yay. What a hall of fame player! A true role model!" The Wikipedia page Burns Welker alludes to mentions nothing about "4 wives," since Lewis has never married any of the four mothers of his six children. As for paying off families of alleged murder victims, he did reach out-of-court settlements with the relatives of Jacinth Baker and Richard Lollar, who were stabbed to death during a Jan. 2000 incident involving Lewis and two associates. Lewis escaped murder charges and eventually pleaded guilty to the lesser charge of obstruction of justice. True or not, Burns Welker's rant goes way beyond Bundchen's tirade from last year, when she blamed husband Tom Brady's teammates (specifically Wes Welker) for the Patriots' Super Bowl XLVI loss to the Giants. Wes Welker's infamous dropped pass from Super Bowl XLVI. “You (have) to catch the ball when you’re supposed to catch the ball. My husband cannot (bleeping) throw the ball and catch the ball at the same time. I can’t believe they dropped the ball so many times,” Bundchen yelled at a group of hecklers.
This seems to be the normal thing... once the patriots lose they go on a rant and rave about stuff that doesnt pertain to the game. There a bunch of babies
That's just classless, bringing up personal stuff about Ray Lewis for no apparent reason other than being a sore loser. This shit shouldn't even be news. Tom Brady attempting to dropkick Pollard while down multiple scores should be all over ESPN accusing him of being a dirty player and demanding punishment.. but you know it's not. They won't even dare speak out against Brady. If it was the Jets they would be calling for heads!
Why cant these Patriot players keep their wife in check? Wes, call Eric Smith and get him to handle that for you...
Sorry, Ms. Welker, but your husband plays for Patriots. You are not qualified to determine what's classy and what's not.
does it count that he wasn't a Patriot when they were caught cheating? (was he? I'm too lazy to check)
How is it classless? Everything she said is the truth and public knowledge. Maybe if Ray baby didn't like it, he should stop being a piece of shit.:shit:
classless because she target Ray Ray and his past. Of ALL the players shes gets on him. Its not all too surprising because im sure this is how most of white america thinks of him. They hate his guts and all the attention hes getting. Also she was wrong. He wasnt married four times. If shes going to dog someone she should of had her facts straight at least.
This is how it's classless, (ALL OF IT!!) My kids do this, (they are 9 and 11) you try to critique or correct them, and they don't just listen. They immediately fly to a scenario where someone else is behaving worse than them. It does not change the facts of their specific situation, but I guess they are trying to make it better by making someone else look worse. She is classless, her team lost, in a fair contest on the field. Ray Lewis past did not get displayed during the game. And for those who would argue that he shouldn't be in the NFL, the justice system says otherwise. He had his day in court. The NFL is about exceptional physical talent. If someone had come along all these years with better physical talent, while Ray's talents were depleted, he would've been gone years ago.
At the time Lewis got off, I was not too happy about that to say the least. It sure looked like some combination of special treatment and him buying his way out of it. But he held up his end of the deal the law presented him, as from what I have heard he has been a model citizen ever since. There's such a thing as redemption, and when people are given the chance to redeem themselves, and do redeem themselves, that should be applauded, and not ignored, with the focus only on past misdeeds. Welker's wife is entitled to her opinion, but she comes across as meanspirited and classless.
Remember after we beat them in the playoffs how Deion Branch was complaining that we were classless? lololololol It was Branch in 2010, gisele in 2011, and mrs welker in 2012, who's it gonna be in 2013?
To be fair , she did apologize. http://www.latimes.com/sports/sportsnow/la-sp-sn-wes-welkers-wife-ray-lewis-20130122,0,3105471.story
