When you hear of Manti, the football player, what is the first thing that comes to mind? Prior to this has he been one to put attention to himself? This matter is more about Manti's personal life than football.

the more info that comes out the more I believe that Manti wasn't involved. Nev Schulman, creator of Catfish believes he was the victim. now this guy Ronaiah knows both Manti and the real Lennay (Diane O'Meara). there's also the story of Manti's uncle saying Ronaiah has always been a liar and he didn't trust him when he first met him, he also says he wouldn't put it past Ronaiah to send another girl to meet Manti. there is no way Manti is involved in this unless he's a sociopath.
Hm, but Manti has (a) claimed to meet the girl and (b) claimed to talk to her considerably on the phone, to the tune of eight hours at a time (supposedly so he could hear her breath as she slept). Did some woman really put in countless hours, not to mention run-up her phone bill, for a prank with no discernible endgame?

I dunno how you guys can say he wasn't in on it when Te'o supposedly MET Lenay after the ND vs Stanford game. They exchanged numbers then, so he had to know the girl in the picture was her. It wasn't. Then, Te'o's father claimed she would fly to Hawaii and meet Manti there from time to time. She never has. He's full of shit.
