I sincerely apologize. I was ecstatic when we made the pick. I was at the first pre-season game he played when he completed about a 50 yard pass for his first throw against the Rams.. and became even more ecstatic. And now I don't know what to think about him anymore. So I apologize.

Who do you think they wanted on the pick?

    Andre Smith?
    Darrius Heyward-Bey?
    Eugene Monroe?
    Michael Crabtree?
    Aaron Maybin?

The only guy taken in the vicinity after the Jets pick who has been good is BJ Raji and the Jets already had Kris Jenkins and Sione Pouha. It's not like there are any pro bowl players the Jets missed on by taking Sanchez instead of somebody they could have plausibly taken.

Now, not trading up and just sitting and taking Freeman? That might have been the better call, however I'll bet that's not who those guys wanted.

That draft sucked in the top 10.

I won't have to apologize just yet. I never wanted the Jets to trade up, let alone draft Sanchez with the pick. Based on what? 10 games at USC playing in the PAC 10? Unbelievable, the dude couldn't beat out John David Booty for a starting Job. John David Booty!!!!

I wasn't excited about Sanchez and never bought his jersey (I still have Testaverde and Pennington jerseys). I've always considered him to be average at best, although he did show some flashes from time to time, especially in the playoffs. But now he's just garbage. His confidence, which was never his strength to begin with, is completely gone and any QB without confidence has no life in this league.

to think we could have stayed put and drafted Clay Matthews at 17, Lesean McCoy at 52 and Mike Wallace at 76

no we walk away with Mark Sanchez and Shonn Greene.........
