http://www.csnphilly.com/football-p...-as-Eagles-head-coa?blockID=813947&feedID=692 Its over, I see him going to San Diego now but wouldn't be surprised if he landed elsewhere.
No surprise, and deserved - he really did a pathetic job this year, and he wasn't much better last year.
He'll be a head coach for sure. When he was good, he was GOOD. He's been coaching the Eagles since 1999, longer than any other head coach in the league during the timespan. Depending on which teams fire their HCs, he'll get his first choice out of those who need one.
Extenuating circumstances how? Having a healthy LeSean McCoy in the first two and a half months and underusing him while throwing all day with Vick who was turning the ball over at a Sanchez rate? Leaving McCoy in a 31-6 game and having him get a concussion on a meaningless play? Having an offensive assistant coach the defense for a year and a half, and that defense underachieving dramatically?
All the years he was with the Eagles he underachieved. I could never understand all the excitement over this guy. I wouldn't want him coaching my team.
I see that Reid could end up in the Eagles front office and that there's a "good chance" that Gruden ends up taking the HC job in Philly.
On the contrary, I think that the Eagles overachieved for much of Reid's tenure (names like Todd Pinkston, James Thrash, Freddie Mitchell, and AJ Feeley never struck much fear into opponents' hearts, but they won anyway.) They were never the same after Jim Johnson passed, though. If Reid were willing to take a job as an offensive coordinator, he'd be among the best in the business. Whether he's still up to being the head man is up for debate though.

One league source said he was “95 percent” certain former Eagles HC Andy Reid will wind up coaching the Cardinals. — Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/8800439/andy-reid-favorite-become-arizona-cardinals-coach-sources
Adam Schefter From @mortreport and me: Chiefs on verge of a deal with Andy Reid. One source said “the major issues have been discussed and agreed upon.”
He's been hired. He most likely wants to bring Heckert and Dorsey as a packaged deal. I'm just curious; why does Andy, as a head coach, want so much control over the GM? Doesn't that go to the owners...?
