Pure speculation but I wonder if this guy would be inclined to try and get Matt Flynn.

    Dorsey Ross And Gamble

All three are win win choices and an upgrade from Tannenbaum

None of the three in my opinion will treat draft choices as trinkets to be rewarded to the head coach ( I gotta have that Terminatorguy) or even worse the ST coordinator (That was a Westy pick) or thrown away on impulsive trades or tradeups (Ill give you two picks for a QB who can't pass or remember the playbook)

All of these guys appear to believe that draft picks are precious assets to be treated seriously and with reverence

  4. Yikes. Haven't had my coffee yet & having flashbacks to the 89 season. My bad:grin:

Here's a guy who probably has a very good idea of the right way to groom a QB ...

You still convinced he won't come here?? You gave a multitude of reasons of why the guy would never leave Green Bay in another thread. Now he at least agrees to interview.

I think he is running a trial-balloon most likely. Gauging the interest out there by interviewing for the most visible post.

I'd be really happy to see him come to the Jets, although I'd be a bit concerned about him being potentially a 5-and-2 guy flying back to Wisconsin on the weekends. He has young kids and I'd like to see him move them here if he commits to the job.

Dorsey would be a great candidate. Possibly the best out of who we have interviewed.

I don't think he'd take all these interviews if he wasn't serious about moving into a GM job this year.

Sounds like Dorsey is very likely to end up in KC with Reid.

  11. I thought Heckert was going w/ Reid?

Gamble, Caldwell, Dorsey are my big 3 in no particular order. They come from winning organizations and have big strengths in drafting/stockpiling picks. Good recipe for success.

Totally agree on those 3. Dorsey would be my unqualified opinion top pick, followed by Gamble. Would be happy with Caldwell as well but as my third choice.

    Love Dorsey's draft background.

I'm still hoping for Caldwell since I think he comes from the best offensive philosophy, but definitely wouldn't be upset about Dorsey.

They likely would've turned down the interview to begin with.

Andy Reid wants both Dorsey and Heckert

Landed in LA, this may be out there: Hearing Andy Reid is telling people he hopes to bring both Tom Heckert & Packers exec John Dorsey to KC

    https://twitter.com/RapSheet/status/287285439734349825

@RobDemovsky: John Dorsey and his family love GB but I'm told his wife has strong ties to KC area. She even works for a firm based there.

Dorsey turned down interview requests for Indianapolis and Chicago last year.

Dorsey might be heir apparent to Ted Thompson in GB

Why would Dorsey leave his job to take over the Jets disaster?
