nytimes reports the extention till sunday nite has stopped the need for any cutting by the jets as we went under the cap with restrucuring of coles ellis martin moore and the release of tyrone law and DB celeste holmes

any decision to make any cuts is based on the value to the team

mawae is only 1 M in cap money---the decision is to keep our 6 time pro bowl center coming off triceps surgery

kendall is also about same age ---and are these guys able to regain their all pro status ----same as chad

jets can keep these guys --the question is DOES MANGINI WANT THEM

the jets can trade abe to wash or denver----the same question--does MANGINI want to keep ABE????

all previous threads are now meaningless since jets are under the cap. time was our ally. tannenbaum and mangini have been able to work their expertise

good post but from what I gather.....Mawae is not wanted anymore...he shot his mouth and Tangini wants none of that.....

    DB Celeste Holmes?

    You mean Oliver Celestin?

Or do you mean the mid-century actress Celeste Holm?
    http://www.celesteholm.com/
If that is the case, I can understand why the Jets don't want an 87 year old woman on the team.

His name isn't Tyrone Law either. It's Tajuan.

It's different shooting your mouth off during contract time in the offseason than it would be if you're doing it during the season when it should be all about football. If Mawae had a few tough words now, by the time you get to training camp it's all forgotten. I'd try to keep Mawae but Kendall is not worth anywhere near his salary and guards are not that difficult to replace.

i knew it wasn't celeste holmes

i wrote it afterr 1AM tired and so wound up about chad and FA and cuts

didnt have my roster sheet ----thanks for getting the right name on the DB

if we trade abe to denver for their #22 --jets are in GREAT SHAPE for 2006

I would resign arthur fiedler and his entire boston pops to be our #1 QB

    BB is second

Chad would be on IR --he needs lots of time to heal

a back up QB -ramsey for our Herman Draft pick --4th round will be a good situation

our #4 should be D'Brickhouse --what a field day the media will have with his name prob call him S'Brickhouse

i would keep mawae and kendall and use #22for best OL

    # 35 for best RB or OL

FA could be used for a speedy WR

    etc

this means that Tannenbaum did great by getting us under the cap

mangini and bradway have to do their magic in the draft--jets have many good positions --as we alternate between the 3rd pick in each round thru the 7th pick

get detriots 7th round for jon mcgraw

also we should get a few comp picks---lost jason ferguson--lamont kranston

kareem mckenzie ----toby gowan--anthony bechct---and got ZERO on our FA acquisions --Simon Legree BOOOO etc

    LETS GO JETS

this waiting for sunday nite ---start of new NFL year is getting me so tensed up --i need another pill---hope im right in all my assessments---but hey you never know
