    Awww no way

Seriously I like Brad Smith but people are making him out to be some sort of superstar already.

He may have gone higher in the draft (maybe early 3rd) if he wasnt so adamant about not making the switch to WR. The tools were there for everyone to see but he kept saying he wouldnt want to make the switch.

Guess Tangini figured he would be amenable to the change and the Jets should benefit.

Brad Smith is a good player.

Brad Smith was a great QB for Missouri.
His skills involved running the ball very well.
How this plays out is up to the Coach's, team, and Brad.

The Jets really do seem to lack somebody that can consecutively run through tackles. Hopefully the new acquisitions and coach's will get the blocking up there. Because, that's the only way the Jets have a chance at performing.

Brad is multitalented. He could probably play effectively in at least four positions. But, he will need to learn the position. And, that will take time. Right now he seems to be concentrating on developing the catching skill. He doesn't seem yet comfortable doing it. He will. Given time.

It's going to be a tough decision on QB for the cuts. There really doesn't seem to be a standout yet. I am surprised they haven't done a trick play with Brad yet. One of the first things I'd have done.

On the Brad Smith run, the QB threw a real block. Now, that's the kind of stuff that gets wins. Kind of wish the Jets would cut below the 52 players and hold tryouts for someone that can walk through a crowd of players and throw a block. Blaylock seems to be a good enough hole finder. But, the sidestep seems a little weak.

Anyway, Brad is a first round pick that the Jets got for pennies. But, many first round picks never achieve their potential. And, although I really don't believe that Brad won't achieve a starting position fairly quickly; it is possible.

Do you realize that if he played for any other team with a big market he would of been a first or second round pick if he trained as WR earlier.

Vince Young doesn't have shit on his records

I agree, I love the guy, but lets see if he can actually play WR and caught some balls first.

I hope he helps our your team in anyway possible.

You can't put a limit on how much success he should have.

And it couldn't of happened to a nicer guy.

    Was wondering....

I was wondering with a new kicker possibly coming in if Brad Smith would be a good holder.
    That would be so awesome.
Run, pass, and receiver threat on a field goal.

Going to change my nick to "LeftField" soon.
