That's the thing. I see teams weren't tripping over themselves to get him after he had that "great season." His stock sure as shit couldn't have gone up in this last season. More young QBs come into the league every year... ...I'm just trying to figure out who this franchise is that is thinking about going all in with Tebow and gearing up to his needs. Hence, I think his career is on its last leg, I really do. I don't even think Jacksonville wants him at this point. Not because he snubbed them last year either in favor of the jets. A couple of months ago you and I had a discussion before your... uhhh... vacation... about what the Jacksonville fans thought about Tebow. I thought you were nuts thinking they pretty much hated him. But I followed up on it... and sure as shit... there might have been one or two guys there that wanted him and at least a couple dozen who thought he was garbage. Some of the criticisms even made ME cringe. hmy:  What is the harm? Isn't the world supposed to end in 3 days anyway? (We seem to be due for an apocalypse annually these days.)
LOL @ the crying Tebow fans. even though I'm sad Sanchez had his job taken from it at least I'm happy that Tebots didn't get their way
Glad you found some happiness this season because I know you have cried an ocean for your favorite all time player suckchez.
The open hatred for Tebow in the Denver media is surreal to me as a Broncos fan. Last year was awesome especially after what transpired here the few previous seasons. We ended up with Peyton and no doubt TT's performance helped that happen.
I've heard that one before. Not really sure what to believe on that one. Many credit it to the salesmanship skills of John Elway. he can still relate to today's player, walked a mile or two in Manning's shoes, and seems to have a clear vision of the direction he wants to go. Any effect Tebow might have brought is secondary at best to that IMO. Not sure how serious San Fran was. Some think they were posturing to get Alex Smith to come down in negotiations. Others thought they would have had to rearrange too much on a team that was already pretty much set for a championship run. Tennessee seemed intent on just giving him the keys to the franchise. Somewhere in all that, I doubt there was a clear vision on how they were going to be try to bring a championship in the next 3 years or so.
Montreal Allouettes have his CFL rights. If he went there he would raise the profile of the league and we would all watch in the summer (including you LOL). He can have success and give the NFL another go in the future. I think the obsessive ESPN coverage killed most chances he might have had in the NFL, no wants the heat. Although the Jaguars would benefit from it.
I think my main point there was if Kyle Orton stayed the starter all year and they kept at their "worst team in the league" pace, then Manning may not have seen any potential in playing for Denver. Obviously not all of the credit should go to Tebow for the turnaround, but there was definitely a direct correlation between winning and him starting. In any case, to me it doesn't make sense why Denver fans would dislike Tebow. I'm not fully sure I understand the reasoning.
Denver media seemed to love Tebow last year. the national media, not so much, but rarely did I see "open hatred" for him by the locals. There were a couple shows where Ron Zapollo questioned if he was ever going to be an NFL QB, but I missed the "hatred." Is your namesake from Bradlee Van Pelt? If so, I can see why you like Tebow's game. Thought Van Pelt was the same kind of player, albeit with much less press. (i actually liked Van Pelt, though I doubted he'd make it as an NFL QB.)
at least sanchez will get another shot. ur boy IS DONE. I'm glad rex got him and completely dismantled his hype and exposed him for what he is. keep those tears flowing
Sanchez will only be allowed back in a football stadium if he decides to sell peanuts in the stands after his current contract runs out. Listen I know you got laughed out of the main section of the forum, buts its all good. We are all misfits and castoffs here, welcome aboard.
jets4lyfah, I'm quite convinced the situation is exactly the opposite of what you say. Although, personally, I think Sanchez has potential to be around a 20-25 best QB. Instead, Sparano and this putrid offense have him in convo for worst in the league. He's better than that. Sparano has no clue how to use Tebow. That's obvious to everyone. If anyone was exposed this year, it was Sparano. Although wasn't he exposed in Miami? What an awful hire.
I think that is why the jags wanted him to begin with. Their owner is close to moving the team and just wants to sell tickets. They are in the cellar as being perhaps the most irrelevant team in the league. There was an article about theme moving the tarps in the upper stands so they could watch Tebow sit on the bench. they weren't the only team that tried to capitalize on Tebow in Florida either. Miami had a "gator appreciation day" (which was really just a Tebow day since most of the other gators were playing around the league) much to the chagrin of Hurricane fans. He'll put butts in seats. I'm just not so sure about the coaching staff and players being high on the idea. Seems to be a big disruption with the media attention like you say. Perhaps the best move for him right now is the CFL for a few years. Worked wonders for Flutie.
I will NEVER understand how a guy who has done no wrong, has done nothing but what he is told and has worked his ass off and has done nothing but be an upstanding citizen outside of the game gets the kind of hate he does from people like you. You're pathetic.
Agreed. If no teams are interested in him as a starter, he should go CFL. With the amount of exposure he'll have, even ONE good season would put him back at starters status for at least a few teams.
that's just wild speculation. Why not just say that if Quinn had started the Broncos would have won the Super bowl, and we'd all have hot girlfriends?
I don't hate tebow. I hate the undeserved and unconditional support he gets. sanchez is also all of those things you just stated but he don't get one quarter of the props and rope that tebow has gotten.
Yes the name is after Bradlee. I live in the area, nobody was positive about Tebow other than maybe Wood Paige. The radio still rips on him to this day. These guys have been in Denver for awhile and have ties to Elway. We all know what Elway thought of Tebow which I don't fault him for. I have doubts about TT as well. Last year was nothing short of amazing. I hope he's given the chance to start again but I do know with any creative offensive mind he could be helpful to a team. Even if that's just playing in the redzone.
That's all well and good. None of that makes him a good QB, and THAT is what the critics are harping on. Nobody is calling him a bad person.
I don't think u Tebow nuts get it. It not about Tebow the man but Tebow the football player and his fellowers. He not the only guy that works hard and is a upstanding citizen in the NFL. As Tebow the man he is a great person no questioning that. But Tebow the QB he just doesn't have what it take to make it. Imo and a lot of others on this board and not on this board.
