That's not going to happen. I only see one person on this entire forum who supports Sanchez. Extrapolate that and there are maybe 1,000 people who think Sanchez should stay. 1,000 people are not going to fill MetLife stadium. They will lose a lot more than eight million dollars if they start Sanchez.
I was at the Arizona game a few weeks back. After watching last night's game, there is a 0% chance Sanchez starts. The stadium will be empty, the few fans will boo, and Woody will be embarassed. Woody is going to demand McElroy starts, and Rex will cave in no matter what he's thinking because his seat is burning hot.
I don't know. If McElroy is announced starter, you might actually have a good atmosphere. I can't imagine any booing one way or the other, especially when you don't have that cancer as a QB.
McElroy. Tebow has no future with the team. I doubt McElroy's the QB of the future, but at the very least, it makes sense to see if we've got a decent back-up in him. Sanchez should be fetching drinks for the real players.
This poll should actually read: How many fans will be at the stadium on week 16? a) 50,000 plus b) 30,000 plus c) 20,000 plus d) Just a few Charger fans and the man formerly known as Fireman Ed
I think it bothers him, but I also think he fucked some hot little piece of ass and slept like a baby after that.
At this point, Sanchez is all but done for this year. After the Arizona game, I still wanted to give Mark another chance. At this point, literally the only reason to trot Sanchez out there is the money you still owe him for next year. And honestly, it's looking like a sunk cost. Maybe Mark can get his shit together with an offseason and a QB competition with someone else. We'll see. I'd rather see McElroy, since he has a bigger future with the team. Good thing we traded a 4th rounder for Tebow if we're not even going to start him when Sanchez is done.
Screw the Cap! I don't care about the cap, there is nothing to look forward to for a couple of years anyway. Let Sanchez put the air in the footballs before the game, yeah he'll drop a few, but it'll be less damage than he's done this year. The great experiment is over and Tannenbaum will announce the new uniforms will read "Same Old Jets" even though Ryan thought he threw away the key to that one years ago. The best selling jersey will be number "0" with the name "LONGSUFFERING". The worst thing that could happen is if Tebow gets the next two starts. If he pulls a fluke like he did in Denver and accidently wins a couple of games that circus will start over. Ryan is not going to play Sanchez again - did you see him after shaking with Munchak? He was heading to the locker room with Sanchez going the other way and wouldn't even make eye contact, he even swerved to avoid even brushing elbows. Read his lips - no way number six is seen again (what kind of number is that for a QB, anyway?). McElroy gets two games and gets to try to earn the fulltime job in July. Who knows who else will be there? The carousel of stiffs is where Tannenbaum will be riding.
Rich Cimini @RichCimini Right now, I'm hearing that Rex Ryan is leaning toward starting Greg McElroy Sunday vs. the Chargers. #Jets
Brian Costello @BrianCoz One of the options on the table is split duties between McElroy and Tebow on Sunday, per source. #nyj Rich Cimini @RichCimini I'm told Rex still discussing QB dec with staff, but looks like McElroy. However, Tebow still involved in equation. This could be weird.
Garbage Time Okay, the season is shot, the only thing worth doing is planning for the future. You have three QB's, their ratings are 67.9, 84.9 and 118.5. Recognizing two of them have little playing time there is only one valid rating - Adios 67.9! Of the remaining two, one has been seen in action in the past and went unwanted by the rest of the NFL - goodbye 84.9. What do you damage by running with the 118.5 for a couple of games even if only to find out if he'd make a serviceable backup?
