Assistant Coach Follies

    You have a QB coach who the team tried to give his job to 2 or 3 other guys....the OC was never an OC before (he's an OL coach)....the OL coach suggested others in the organization are dictating playing time.....and the ST coach is retiring which means he can't instill fear in the ST players.

    No wonder this team looks like it's playing for contracts and out the string.

    Lol, u really think players r playing for contracts? Like, which player? None on offense n we can't judge our D when it plays against a college level offense. Right now, Malone is our best player.

    I'd like to see the Jets bring in Marty Mornhinweg after the Eagles coaching staff is inevitably cleared out. He was a historically horrible head coach, but he's done a good job with Philly's offense.

    The guy is a great OC, Alex Smith had a career year when Norv was the OC with the 49ers.

    Time to show my ignorance a bit:

    Who picks the assistant coaches and coordinators? Is that solely up to Rex or entirely up to Tannenbaum? Is it a combo? Is Woody involved? I honestly can't say I follow it closely enough to know the inner workings of the coaching staff process.
