I think it all comes down to who is on the table in the draft and free agency. You line up the guys from both who you feel are in the ballpark of Greene's talent, and you sign who is cheapest. Greene isn't special enough, in my opinion, to warrant a targeted strategy to get him back on the team. You throw him in with the rest in the hopper and see who cheaply rattles out.
As long as Greene isn't the "star" RB on this team, then I am in favor of him coming back. We need an RB as much as we need a QB.
Greene is a Marion Barber type of back, IMO. He is a closer. However, his track record shows that he is stronger late in the season than the beginning. (slow starter)
Well....it means he got over 1,000 yards 2 years in a row in a pass happy league. When you look at all the insults he's gotten in this thread alone, things don't jive.
