And he slowly regained consciousness to the faint sound of someone yelling "Eli!......Eli!....
    Eli wake up!"

    Eli: {mumbling} huh? Where...where am I? What's going on?

Coughlin: It's the Superbowl kid...You took one heck of a lick from Wilfork there. Where did you think you were?

Eli: It...it was awful Coach. I was Mark Sanchez...suckin against the Patriots...runnin' into ass.

Coughlin: Now now kid...it was just a bad dream. We're down 14-10 with a only a few minutes left to play. We need you out there. Can you do it?

Eli: I will Coach...I promise. You know....I learned something being Sanchez....I learned to value my possessions. To take no drive for granted. I swear...I won't let the team down.

    (5 minutes later)

The game was over at 21-0, and Mark was responsible for 14 of those points.

    yeah, wasn't Marks fault.

Was the NE defense in prevent - because the NE offense surely wasn't. You can't just throw out cliche phrases for the sake of an argument.

Either way - I was at the game, brutal to say the least. An absolute nightmare.

I wouldn't call it "prevent" that the Pats were playing, but I think they were more concerned with not giving up big plays than jumping underneath routes. Sanchez didn't play horribly (if you ignore the awful mistakes) but I do think you can say that the Pats backed off a bit.

The Game was over before it started like most games in recent years against the Pats ,the problem is our expectations of an outfit that simply is just not
good enough ,anyone who actually thought the Tebow Sanchez combo would
work needs their heads tested ,but to blame everything on Mark is not right ,
at best our offense is average ,Average aint hacking it against teams like the Pats ,the season never got started anyone expecting better than Average
    will end up disapointed ...

To be honest, I knew that wasn't an optimal situation - but I let Rex con me into believing this was the best defensive unit he'd ever coached and I was already imagining some 2000 Ravens type domination with Sanbow just doing enough to not lose us games.

The play was a 10 second highlight of Sanchez's career. Sanchez turning the wrong way (Rex admitted it was Sanchez's screw up) and messing up the play. Sanchez panicking and confused. Sanchez, while panicking, lowering his head and running blindly. Sanchez falling down unnecessarily because he is not looking where he is going. Sanchez taking an unnecessary sack. Sanchez not protecting the football when he is in panic mode. Sanchez gifting the other team 7 points. Sanchez's mistake putting the game out of reach. The rest of the team falling apart because of Sanchez's ineptitude. I have never seen one play sum up the career of a player more than that play did for Sanchez.

Even though two of the TDs in that quarter were a direct result of Marks ridiculous turnovers? The INT was a 14 point swing, went from putting up 7 to giving up 7.

yes but the whole stadium , including the defence, lost all confidence after the Mark pick.

You can almost sense everyone going "not again" and holding their collective breath for what is to come.

He is not instilling an ounce of stability and leadership anymore, it has just gone too far

I am starting to agree. Every QB throws picks - but Mark as a QB doesn't have what it takes to overcome his errors. He is a mental disaster. Every fan just knows, or is starting to piece together after years of wishful thinking... that after Mark falls, he stays down for the count. There is no getting back up off of the ground for him.

He is literally doing everything in his power to lose every supporter he has. I am a Sanchez supporter at QB for the NYJ. I can't continue to support this QB if he cannot minimize his errors.

He has minimal talent around him - it hasn't been there now for some time. He should have grown up and worked around it by now. He is getting paid millions of dollars to do so. It is called problem solving and everyone has to do it professionally.

Mark Sanchez and Rex Ryan are giving the NFL a lesson in futility.

Sanchez stats were absolutely padded in garbage time when the game was already finished. He played horrible and anyone who says he played alright is a fucking idiot.

Another example of Sanchez putting up junk yardage in a blow out. TD came when the Jets were down by how many? The Pick came when we were about to take the lead?

His fumble led directly to 7 Patriot points.

    Pick lost us 3-7 points
    Fumble cost us 7 points.

they should check him for a concussion, in all honesty that might be why he completed passes after the assfumble.
