    Couldn't agree more.
Rex seems to have no discipline and no accountability in his locker room.

I want a thorough house cleaning.

I just think he has tried to be the big brash coach too hard and his ego now willnot let him reinvent his style....a good coach learns from his mistakes and adapts ...Rex seems to be on the lets keep doing it til it works bus regardless of how many times he drives it off the cliff

Exactly. How is Rex any different this season from the past three? His team continues to make asinine penalties each game, they are unprepared and not ready for game time.

He is a brilliant defensive coach but, completely pedestrian with the offense and it's just the same broken record he needs to go.

Rex is a carbon copy of his father. Great coordinator, big mouth, sucks as a HC.

Rex is the last guy able to right this ship. He's too buddy buddy with the players to be taken seriously when they need to be held accountable.

His stupid shit about wanting his players to "believe" is the opposite of what they need to hear right now. You don't believe your way to wins, you go out and fucking win.

What they need is a coach right now that will say if you don't shut up and start playing better you will be out of a job. He needs them to realize that means everyone of them is being evaluated, their careers are at stake. The time to talk is over.. etc.

But that's not Rex's style... I think its time to look another direction after the season. This team needs leadership.

I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and say yes. Winning cures everything.

Perhaps, but we're not winning, not even scoring. Rex is done, I wouldn't wait until the off season, he can find his own way home if we don't win this week. lol

If the wheels fall off this week then yes Rex should be fired after a second loud locker room controversy that indicates that he has probably lost the team.

That said, this probably means handing Sparano the team for the last 6 games with an almost certainty that he's going to get fired at the end of the season. It means that the Jets are laughingstocks again. It means that we're starting over from scratch next year as if we're in total rebuild mode.

I don't know if anybody can really stomach that at this point.

I do think that if the wheels fall off this week that it will be very hard to sell tickets for the rest of the season.

I'd give it to Westoff, he plans on retiring after this season anyway... Give him a HC job as a going away present.

What bothers me about Rex is being a one sided defensive coach. For the most part, our offense has been a very big problem the last 2 years. He has no answers how to fix the offense. I almost wonder if he feels the the offensive side just goes on the field to give the Defense a break. He need to be a complete coach, work both sides of the ball. We draft nothing but players for the defense, and the O gets worse.
We could have had a deicent year if the O played much better. Rex wants a marginal offense and a monster defense. That is not the model for success these days in the NFL. We need a coach that knows both sides, coaches to his teams strenth year to year. Whatever is dropped in his lap. We have way to much talent on this team to be 3-6 soon to be 3-8 after next Thursday. Tannenbaum should go to

Rex has given no indication he can fix this or that he even has the skills to fix this.

The longer he is here the worse its going to get. Winning or not.

We're going to be 5-6 by the end of this month. Book it.

Don't underestimate the power of a desperate team. I think that if we can establish the run with our new running back, we take the ball out of Sanchez's hands. Do that, and we have a very good chance of winning out.

Today's quote... He's given no indication there is a problem.

His team has quit on him now for the second season in a row. Time to go, fatso. Thanks for the fortunate/opportunistic playoff runs two seasons ago with talent largely acquired by your predecessor, but you're done here.

    Let me fix his quote:

“Inside the locker room all anyone cares about is when they can sign with a different team”.

Was thinking it over myself & I really think Rex is left trying to make a gourmet meal from a pile of crap. Looking @ the talent on this roster, does Rex have this team under achieving??

    OFFENSE
RT - underachieving 2 years in a row, top salary
LG - JAG who makes peanuts & should be OL backup for depth
    C - Elite
RG - Over the Hill & should be retired
RT - JAG who's saving grace is that he doesn't suck as much as WFH

    • 3/5 of this OL would struggle to even start on other NFL teams.

    ------
TE#1 - Keller = average TE that sometimes good hands but disappears & shit blocking
    TE #2 - Garbage

    • If you're a Keller fan, there's only one productive player here. Personally, I feel there is only a below average player paired with garbage.

    ------
WR #1 - Kerly = 2nd year player showing promise
WR #2 - Raw rookie without much experience
    WR#3 - Garbage

    • There is only ONE WR that ran NFL routes last season. Chaz spends more time in rehab than on the field.

QB - One of the highest salaries in NFL & below average player
RB - Terrible. Greene can't block or catch, Powell/McKnight are injured & McKnight fumbles.

Except for Mangold, Kerley, Hill (who's not productive right now) is there anybody that other teams would be interested in? If LT was on a rookie contract then he'd also be desirable. Talent here is pretty weak & Kerley is the only productive offensive player with a rookie contract. Hill is still a diamond in the rough.

    DEFENSE
DL - Young studs & some vet experience.

    • Good right now & looks to be good in the future.

    -----
LB core - This entire core is pretty weak. Slow, not good at tackling, can't set the edges. Bart is playing OK but he's definitely going downhil. Except for ROOKIE DeMario, nobody would take any of these LB.

    • This part of the team has multiple Big Salaries & below average production.

    -----
Safety - Two very old players & bad injury history. Rex has them both pretty productive. Landry is solid run support but not so good in coverage.

    -----
CB#1 - Cro is one of the best in the league
CB#2 - Kyle Wilson is OK but not top level CB
    CB#3 - Who??

    =====
    =====

The off-the-field drama really irks me. However, the more I look @ this roster the less talent I'm seeing in starting units. Really don't see any coach coming here with the same roster & pulling off a much better record at this point of the season. Rex brings a lot of attention/drama but can we really look at the roster & say it deserves 4,5,6 wins? I'm not so sure about that.

Think we should wait to see how this season plays out before deciding if Rex can be part of the solution or is he part of the problem.

They would have to blow the team up and start new beause this locker room is a cancer that even trashes tebow who plays a small role. How could slauson say crap about there backup QB? So in case dirty goes down..TT is our backup. Slauson should get knocked out if I was TT for talking about me. Its not like slauson is a pro bowler. He was a late late round draft pick that is ok at best. If we are gonna keep the current roster,Then how can rex coach a team that talks behind his back to the media? I say go full force at Andy reid and keep our defense the same with pettine...
