It's time to go find Woody Johnson. We will threaten him until he sells the team to this forum. 5x SB Champs here we come!
Cro is a dumb guy indeed but I don't see him as an anonymous source. With all his boasting & media attacks, he strikes me as the kind of guy to put his name on comments. Or the kind of player that can be easily manipulated to agree his name should be included.
I'd love nothing more than to put the wilpons, Woody, and james dolan in a gasoline soaked room filled with explosives
It's funny that the Jets defense has so many bad things to say about Tebow when he crushed them last year and ended their season. If Tebow is so worthless, what does it say about them?
Do you believe a successful running game can improve the effectiveness of a defense, particularly in terms of points per game, by having a disproportionate (relative to passing) effect on time of possession? Do you believe turnovers can have a negative effect on a team's defensive points per game allowed, by allowing shortened fields and, consequently, more points against? Do you believe that Tebow replacing Orton played any role in the Denver offense's improvement in rushing yards per game and turnovers per game? You're beginning with a false premise, which is that the defense is entirely independent of the offense. It's not. Orton was turning the ball over entirely too much early last season, which had a huge impact on the defense. He threw 7 interceptions and lost two fumbles in 4.5 games. The fact is that the way Orton played, his defense never had a shot to play as well as they did with Tebow. He was gifting opposing offenses points and taking some of his own points off the board. Tebow wasn't a prolific producer by any means, but neither was Orton and neither is Sanchez. The difference is that he didn't turn the ball over, and he came up with a few big drives when he needed them. Give the Jets a QB that won't turn it over and will come up with one clutch drive per game when you absolutely have to have it, and we'd be way better off. The only question is whether or not that clutch performance was sustainable.
 Are you related to Sanchez? Reality: 2009: 28th in passer rating, 29th in completion percentage 2010: 27th in passer rating, 29th in completion percentage 2011: 23rd in passer rating, 28th in completion percentage 2012: 30th in passer rating, 33rd in completion percentage Response: Hey, though: being only 8th-worst in the NFL in passing yards is relatively impressive!
Best part of the article: “Now we’re depending on miracles?” a member of the organization said. “You can’t play that way.” Hello? The whole season has been about the Jets praying for a miracle. No OL, no WRs, no QB. But hey, we have no passing game, a 50% QB, and yet we refuse to put in a running QB. That's called waiting for a miracle.
It says everything...not that we needed anymore proof. Losers, instead of improving themselves, spend their time and energy blaming anything and anyone, except themselves, for their failure. They're laying the groundwork for the "Sanchez is in a difficult spot because of Tebow" line as the excuse for the losing season, otherwise he would be an elite QB and Jets would be 8-1. It's Tebow's fault. That's what losers do, and that's why they lose.
When did Tebow "crush" the Jets defense? He led them to a grand total of 10 points. We should have won that game but Sanchez sucked.
For everyone crying to get rid of Woody, go take a look at what Loria did to the Marlins today. Owners don't get voted out. They stay. No matter how bad. Forever. Get used to it or become a new fan elsewhere. We have what we have, for better or worse. Til death (Al Davis??) do us part...
Well, he crushed us by leading their team to a 95 yard drive. Your boy Sanchez did nothing of the sort.
He led them to 10 total points. We should have been able to over come that. Shit offense on our part doesn't make Tebow better because he made a long drive against a gassed defense.
