If we really want to do this right, we should tank this season, fire Rex, his staff, Tanny, hire some pathetic shitheads as coaches and GM to make sure we suck, tank 5 more years during which time we have 5 awesome drafts, then in 2018 hire awesome coaches and a GM. Such a stupid fucking thread. GTFO with that stupid loser mentality.
Like I said, cant miss prospect. Elway, Manning, and Luck were all cant miss prospects. I would gladly sit through a 1-15 season if it meant getting one of those QB's. I never said you wont find a diamond in the rough. I know Luck is still a rookie, but watching him play is pretty awe inspiring already, minus the Jets game of course.
from what we've seen, if they win more than one more game the rest of the year, the pope will certify it as a genuine miracle.......hmy:
Well with the Roethlisberger injury there is a glimmer of hope for the Wild Card. I think the Colts take one, but the other wild card might be up for grabs between the Steelers, Bengals, Dolphins, Bills, and dare I say Jets..... The Steelers play the Ravens twice in the next 3 weeks so they could be looking at some losses. Time to start winning games, because 8 wins might be enough, the Bengals are 4-5. It will be interesting to see how Pittsburgh does, they have faired well in the past without Ben but who knows.
It will literally take divine intervention the likes of which this world has never seen in order for us to win 10 games this season. If that happens after THIS start, Rex Ryan will be the greatest coach of all time because...yeah. If we for some reason make the Superbowl, Rex needs to have a statue made of him...
How do you know they helped to develop him and that he would not have been as good, if not even better, somewhere else? The Pats team is poor in many areas despite having a HOF QB and so having a lot of luxury when it comes to drafting, if it was not for Brady their record would be no better than ours. People put the Pats on such a pedastal - I cannot wait for Brady to retire and then we get to see just how great their organisation really is.
Coming back with Matt Cassel? That team was coming off an undefeated regular season. It was miles ahead of the pats team this year. So using that incredible talent and having a back up quarterback playing within the framework of their system allowed them to go 11-5. Maybe they could have gone undefeated again with Brady that year?
I cant really tell as you have just posted his name, but I am guessing that you are saying that the Pats are a great organisation because they succeeded with Matt Cassel? The following year with the Chiefs Cassel took them to their first division title in seven years and went to the Pro Bowl - so at that time he was hardly chopped liver.
So here's the deal with this: if the Jets fight for the 1 pick they'll wind up with the 4, 5 or 6. That's just how it's going to work out. They already have 3 wins, which is right on the edge of qualifying and they'll accidentally win another game due to the weak schedule. What you'll get out of that is a defeated locker room that has sent all the wrong early messages to players like Quinton Coples, DeMario Davis, Stephen Hill, etc. You'll get a total blowout of the coaching staff. You'll get a partial blowout of the front office, maybe total when Woody realizes that these guys are about to blow another high draft pick and he's got a pile of shit to market for next season. The better option is for the Jets to do their best to stay competitive for the year, winning the most games they can. In the aftermath of that you'll still get a partial blowout in the front office, hopefully on the talent evaluation side, and the Jets will have a much more rational 2013 season which will either end in the total blowout described above or a franchise that has weathered the shoals and emerged stronger after the storm has passed.
