Word out in Tennessee is that Volek has done nothing to impress Fisher this preseason. On top of that Young got the start today and Volek got ONE series in the start of the second half. So who would you like to see starting for tennesse next sunday? A Rookie QB or a struggling lifelong backup.

I am hoping we get to see Young under center. First game in NFL for a rookie = mistakes. I hope whatever QB it is, he makes enough mistakes to help the Jets start 1-0.

I like our Defensive backfield better than our D front. Volek isn't going to run and break us down, Young might.

I think i would rather see the Titans start Vince Young. I dont think he will do much in the first game of his rookie year.

He was just signed Monday!!! And I am watching the game on NFL network and judging by the mistake he made at the end of the half, I doubt they are going to instantly trust throwing him into the fire!

They have a better shot with Collins week 1 than Vince Young.

If Young started (unlikely) he might hurt us a time or two, but he's a VERY raw rookie QB.... he'd get embarrased.... like 3 INT's in the first half. I frankly don't care who they start.... The Titans are not very good. The day after that game, the media will over react, saying how Mangini could have a playoff team. (not the NY media if course) The Jets will win, something like 27-10. That will include a D touchdown, and maybe a ST's TD as well.

I would agree with you if he had been there for the entire camp. But considering he has no timing/chemistry with the recievers/TE/RB;s, I think he has no realistic shot of being named starter by fisher. Thats why I stated the two options of Young and Volek.

Watching the game today, it is clear that Young is going to make a lot of great plays and a lot of very bad one's in his career.

There is a very good chance Collins starts week 1 and I am glad for that!

Dont you think that Vilma will be able to contain Young if he tries to run??? Id probably be happy with vy starting. I dont know if it was addressed at their tc but if he is throwing those low sidearm bullets there is gonna be at least 2 ints and a lot of knockdowns

As long as the Titan's choices are Collins or Young, we are guaranteed to have sacks and interceptions! Collins can't run and throws interceptions. Young actually might make a few yards running for his life since he can't throw or read coverages. I pick Collins.

I don't really care and I'm not scared. Let Young start. Let's bust that rookie's head open.

On that series, Volek checked off the play and threw a touchdown for 57 yds. I don't think he's a slouch or a lifetime backup. I just think he's in an awkward situation. With that said I'd like to see Kerry Collins cause he just got there and doesn't know squat. But since Fisher announced that Volek will be the starter against the Jets on Monday, I guess it's him.

What the hell happened to Volek, the kid looked good a couple of years ago. The only thing that was holding him back from starting was McNair.

I don't mind playing against Young, Volek, or even Collins. Bring any of them on! :)

Look at the Titans... How many people here were fuming about Mangini taking 3 Preseason games to name a starter??

    Imagine being a Titans fan.

I want no part of Vince Young. Collins would be the best, as I believe that the Jets could win the game if he, or even Volek, starts the game.

Vince Young, once he gets the starting job, will make TN a contender.

I'm not sure Young makes them a contender but I agree with you. If you look at our D it has a very nice secondary that is designed to stop and confuse pocket passers like Volek and Collings. Young is much more likely to break our D down.
