Not getting my hopes up. They probably won't budge on demanding a first rounder. Not worth it at this point.

If we give up next years #1 I will be very upset. Let's give them no more than one of our #2's next year.

Don't forget, there could be something else completely unrelated going on behind the scenes with another team in a trade for McCareins. We give up, say, a #2 for Branch, but maybe pick up a #4 for McCareins and that diminishes the sting.

Could it be JMac and a pick? The Pats would need a WR for depth and the Jets would have more than they need. Add to that JMac and Mangini's tiff earlier this preseason and it might make sense.

i wouldn't mind giving up a #2. hopefully we can give up washington's #2. and now i think it's a forelong conclusion that McCareins will be gone even if we dont get branch

I would trade a 2 (preferrably the Washington one) and a lower pick, probably a 4 if I'm being realistic. I can't see this coming together though.

One way or the other, it's safe to say if we make this deal that McCareins is gone. I'd be fine with Coles, Branch, Cothery and Dwight. All terrific receivers.

I don't think I want to give up a 2nd round pick for Branch though... I would be ok with a 3rd maybe, but sheesh, a 2nd is awful high.

We gave up a 2 for McCareins. TO got a 2nd rounder (at first). If we get Branch for a 2, it's a great deal. I'd be surprised if it was just a 2. It'll probably be like a 2 and a 4 or something.

Keep in mind, we do have 2 2nd rounders.

Belichick is going to put a gun to our head (same division). I just hope we don't overpay.

Although I like the aggressiveness of Tangini. I don't want to see anything more than a 4th rounder go. Branch is not a gamebreaker, 78 catches for 5 TDs should not equal a 1st, 2nd, or 3rd round pick IMO.

If Washington is good and they very well could be, there won't be a drastic difference between Washington's second rounder and our third rounder.

BTW I love this freaking FO. They are gunslingers. Breaking all the rules. Constantly trying to make this team better. Its beautiful. Lets hope all of this works out for the best.

I'd be very surprised. I could see Justin going elsewhere though.

The pats may feel they could make something out of him. He's probably better than any receiver they could get from the vikes or in FA.

What round pick did we end up getting for Jolley?
