Jimmy Haslam was officially announced as Cleveland's new owner today, and immediately stated that Mike Holmgren will retire at the end of the season and currently has no say in team policy or decisions. Joe Banner will be introduced this week as the new CEO of the team.

The Browns have gone 10-28 under Holmgren, so this is hardly a surprise. I wonder what this will mean for Weeden?

I really wouldn't want that. What has Holmgren done other than argue with Brett Favre while Brett was winning him a SB?

Holmgren has not proved he can handle a GM role yet. He screwed things up in Seattle and he did nothing to make the Browns any better.

He was a good coach with a great organization in GB, where he had all his success.

Holmgren has pretty much proven he can't handle a GM role, having failed at it twice. Having said that, he certainly had coaching success in Seattle, winning 5 division titles and making the Super Bowl once (as well as making the playoffs a sixth time).

Browns are just sorry. In every way...
I mean first off..it's Cleveland...come on. Fucking what is Cleveland known for besides lake-effect snow and the rock and roll hall of fame and Bone thugz n harmony? lol

and they can't win championships there. Their fucking name is the BROWNS. That's the color of poop! wtf tells someone it's a good idea to keep a franchise name like that? Especially when they suck!

And they don't even wear brown helmets? HELLO? the browns and you wear orange helmets...lmao get a clue. Nothing on the helmet. That's ghetto! They can't afford a logo....broke ass limp dick team! get viagra. lol even pittsburgh has a logo on half the helmet and they're a half ass franchise that actually wins sometimes. Holmgren is a genius for leaving.

I hate pittsburgh but they are the polar opposite of a half-assed franchise.

If we were all discussing this in person there's no way you would have taken those words seriously in the least bit.
