Maybin seems like such a great guy. Yeah he has kind of disappeared on the field lately but I think it's invaluable to have this type of spirit on our team and in our locker room. With a little Luck, Mayhem will return in full force this Sunday.
Great find! I root for this guy every single game. Not because I just want us to have an awesome linebacker for the future, but because I knew his story from his child and I see how hard he works. I really hope this guy turns into something great! We need to see more of him!
That was a nice piece. It really makes one want to root for this kid. What they don't mention is that after Rex brought him in, he cut him, and only brought him back after the Jets had some injuries at the start of the season. And unfortunately as much as you might want to root for him as a person, the sad fact is that as a player he's never going to be more than marginal end of the roster kind of guy......not that there's anything wrong with that. You can have a long and rewarding career being that kind of guy, and clearly he has some other talents and his head screwed on right. Regardless of how his football career turns out, you are not going to hear about Aaron Maybin on some police blotter, or in some bankruptcy court
Really dude.... that was the last thing i expected to read in a thread about a linebacker. (But, yeah..... that was also the first thing that came to my mind when i read title- wonder if it was intentional).
