1.5 sacks and 9 tackles through 4 games. 3 tackles and zero sacks against the Jets and Pats. Is he the next fat Albert?
No, Mario Williams seems to actually enjoy the game of football. His contract is going to be an anchor on the Bills though.
he wasn't great in Houston, his reputation was much better than his production. w/ that said we are only 4 games in and he is entering his prime so it's far from over for him.
Why did Physcho have to proclaim the Bills D as going down as the best D in history? More like the best D for opposing offenses to face..... SMH....
I watch all of their games. Mario looks horrible out there. He's getting pushed around by Tight Ends (Gronk had a field day with him). He looks like Maybin trying to get to the QB. Actually your whole DLine looks terrible minus Kyle Williams. Anderson and Mario are pushed out of just about every play. Darius is overrated. Kelsey stinks. Mario is overrated and the most overpaid player int he league. The only time they mention his name is when they talk about that absurd contract. Your secondary is terrible. George Wilson is good. Gilmore is having rookie struggles -- but looks like he might turn out to be ok. Aaron Williams shouldn't even be in the NFL, let alone your number 2. You have 1 LB worth a shit (Barnett). Really the only thing you have going for you is the run game. And that's worthless if your defense give up 50 points per game. But hey, they looked GREAT against the Browns and Chiefs (combined record of 1-9)
Darius was quoted as saying it's only a game after the blow out. He could care less about football and will probably be out of the league in a few years.
Mario Williams leads the league in excuses. He has had one every single week not just after Austin Howard shut him down, but every single week. So far this season: - illegal hands to the face - mysterious wrist injury (not on the report) - a sore throat / cold - double teamed - Mario - after only getting 2 tackles in a game in which the Pats ran all over their defense for almost 300 yards and 4 TDs "they ran to the opposite side of me." (what a great leader) The Jets have their own problems, sure. But at least they haven't been historically bad, especially after all the playoff talk like in Buffalo. What's even more unsettling for them is that Gailey seems to be encouraging/adding his own excuses for Mario Williams. This is unbelieveable. Now I'm starting to see why Williams signed with Buffalo instead of a bigger market, less accountability. Imagine if the scenario and excuse making was the same, except Mario was with the Jets or Giants?? He would be getting KILLED in the media!
