nah I got occupied and just rapped it up but I also wanna grab a vet who can play in front of him for the 1st 8-10 games while he's learning and understanding the playbook the late in the season if we have no shot at the playoffs hand the keys over for the last 6 games or so to get the QB some action. I would only sit the rook the whole year if by week 10/11/12 we're in the playoff hunt. Basically the rook wont play until we're out of playoff contention.

    my bad for not clarifying

We're very fortunate that the LA investor group is so well organized at this point. There's no room to move a team to LA without going through them and practically speaking that means selling a team to them.

I haven't followed him lately, didn't realize he was that old, just remember him killing it in previous seasons. So then I would agree with you. Maybe if you could pick him up cheap to share the load with a rookie or 2nd year RB.

All that being said its a little premature talking about what to do in the off season now

I saw my first Jet game in 1964. You young guys have not suffered enough. As long as the owner forces players like Tebow and Favre on the coaches there will be little progress.
Additionally, no head coach should be specializing on one side of the football. The HC's job is to coach the coaches and inspire the players to maximum performance, not spend his time thinking up defensive formations.
Sanchez could be good with better people around him but there is nothing there at the moment. Tebow cannot play quarterback in the NFL on a regular basis but somehow the owner thinks he will help sell PSL's.
This may be the worst situation the club has been in since the 70's. Tanny and Ryan have to do what Woody wants to keep their jobs. They are well paid to take orders so don't expect a revolt.
Woody like most owners thinks that star players sell tickets. Put a winning team on the field and fans will make the stars.
Lastly, PSL's are a ripoff and anyone who tries to sell them should lose money.
Too bad, I love rooting for the Jets and always will but prepare for more lean years.

I agree with this. I think we need to take the best available player on every pick.

Sanchez cost the Jets 2 high picks and depth. Greene cost the Jets 3 picks. Hill cost them 2 more. Keller cost them 2 picks. Those are just the guys still on the roster.

Jenkins cost the Jets two picks. Edwards cost the Jets two picks. These things add up over time. If you keep treating your draft picks like they are disposable income instead of building blocks you eventually get to a point where the wallet is empty and the building blocks aren't there either.

Oh trust me man I want nothing more than a RB now, but who? Unless we trade and we.don't have much to give up. I put RB in free agency so we can solve other big problems cus rather Jackson or Bush can produce for us atleast one year. I know Jackson is getting injured a lot but he still produces.

Bush is gonna stay in Miami most likely, Jax is pretty much done and should go to a contender

The best RB's in this league were drafted outside of the 1st Round except AD, there's no AD in this class so its best we go RB in the 3rd or 4th round

That's what I'm saying about WRs, we can't keep drafting them lets develop the young ones we have and pick up another in that can help. I'm not saying top dollar guys, just someone who can help.

I doubt they keep Bush, they have two good young talented backs behind him.

This team has so many holes....so might as well start re-building the most important group the O-line....

    1st round - RT
    2nd round - RG
    3rd round - OLB
    4th round - LB

We need to re-build and we should start with the o-line....let moore and slauson go and sign a guard and let the guy we draft in the third round start. Also, let howard be the backup tackle for d brick and our 1st round pick at RT.

Im shocked no one else has suggested re-building our o-line.....we need to make this a strength of the team again before we worry about anything else.

I'm not quite as old as you, but old enough to have seen Joe Namath in person as Jets QB. I have to say this is the best post I have read on this forum in ages.

I am amazed that I had to read this far before someone wanted to address the O-line.. I agree completely, except I would probably go RT, LG , RG, OLB

Figure out which 15 rookies will best fit this team to replace the 15 free agents I can't afford to resign.

The Jets need to go best player available on all their picks for the next few years. Even if that means trading down to make that match.

What they need is better talent evaluators.

Hire Joe Willie Namath to run the team. Bring in Rex Ryan's brother and dad as coaches. Waive Mark Sanchez. All idiotic moves. Call me Tannenbaum.

I think I would wait until after the season to consider off season priorities. only a retard would do that during wk 5.
