You are a worthless troll with nothing to offer the world except to inadequately babysit ItsTime's deficient brood.

I want Mike Tannenbaum gone, regardless of record, not because he's a shitty GM, but because I DO NOT WANT HIM TOUCHING THE 2013 DRAFT.

I'm not some uninformed poster who wants a scapegoat, the product on the field is a direct result of Tannenbaum's draft policy, poor talent evaluation, and letting draft picks go.

This wreckless disregard on the importance of the draft has to stop!

It remains to be seen whether the loser asshole owner will do the right thing and get rid of Tanny. Ftr Bradway also has to go.

so the 2-2 record in 1st place is all Mike's fault? It looks like we'll be a 6-10 type team if this continues but you guys act like we are 0-4 and on the road to 1-15. You act like we have never had succes under him. we are all frustrated but there was more than enough talent to be a playoff team this year before the injuries.

Right but if you go 9-7, 9-7, 8-8, 6-10...clearly in you are in a decline and you need to evaluate why you are in a decline.

Despite my feelings about their talent evaluations, having the extra draft picks would have amounted in the chance to strike gold with those lost picks.

I still do not fault Tanny for the Holmes trade. That was a great value trade, but the extension was what I had a problem with.

We need to see what happens with Keller and Hill

Yep. Especially when you consider the type of contract he gave Holmes. We are still stuck with him next year as well.

    you forgot the 11-5 season.

I guess the giants should have fired Jerry reese? after winning the SB in '07 they made it and were one and done in '08 then missed the next 2 years.

We've missed ONE year in a row, 1 of the last 3. It doesn't look like we will make it this year but we are only 4 games in.

^^^ junc, for staters, what if the Jet WON a Super Bowl with Rex (and Tannenbaum)? I'm thinking they'd be given a grace period of around 3 years before the rumblings would resume. But more to the point, the years following the Giants' '07 SB win were not a year-to-year constant downward spiral. In '08 they went 12-4 (lost to Philly in playoffs). They started 2009 by going 5-0 and then spit the bit going 3-8 and still in playoff contention until week #16.

In 2010 they went 10-6 and should've gone 11-5 (and won the division) except for the Matt Dodge last-second punt gaffe that LeSean Jackson returned for a TD. The Giants had that game (which decided the division) in the bag. Philly also ended up 10-6 but won the division via a tiebraker. I'm not a Giant defender, hardly, just noting how stats (and wording) can be spun. An example:

In the last half-decade the New York Giants have won 40% of all Super Bowls.

Does that suck or what? What's worse is that it's true.

Oh and what if the Giants had fired Jerry Reese, and what if the Jets tabbed him on-the-spot as their new GM? What if? What then?

not around here, if we didn't win it the next year it would be a sign of regression and we'd need to clean house.

The best organizations don't make snap decisions, they have people in place for years and years and don't give up on them the moment they have a down year.

thats what i meant...jets should stick with sanchez and build around him and not pull the plug, especially based on the garbage he has to work with...so we agree, and eli is an apt comparison...sanchez is never going to be eli but he deserves better than to be abandoned now

I think if we have a losing season we will see Tannenbaum gone. I don't attribute all the blame on him because the whole scouting department needs to be fired as well. We need people who understand how important the draft is.

Of course the middle ground if you will, that this organization has a track record of doing, is to "reassign" Tanny, like they did with Bradway. The Bradway reassignment has not gone well, though, but if they want to make Tanny the team bus driver, assuming he can handle that, I would be okay with that.
